1100 miles this week. Amazing what can be accomplished when only working 1 job. 3 exploration trips to Almanor and surrounding areas, 2 awesome ride days with Redog1, and capped it off with a trip down to Modesto to meet up with a friend and fellow adv'r and ride a '13 F800 GS for 160 miles out to the Yosemite area. Thank you all who took part in my week of moto-indulgence..

Looks like a few of us got away from the dreaded North Wind and enjoyed the hills!
Dow and I went to the Mendo Rally at Pillsbury Lake on Friday morning and got back Sunday afternoon. Three days of good riding and great weather.

First overnighter on my bike and it was great. Took some time to get used to riding with all my stuff loaded up, but after riding for a bit it was no big deal. We road up FH7 to M6 and over to the Lake. Little dust and perfect weather.

Bike loaded up and ready to go.

Part of the group of bikes at the lake. Some of these folks had an incredible amount of $ into there ride. My craigslist/ebay/overstock.com bike and gear worked great. Slept well and no bike issues.

Went over to my bros. in Ukiah Saturday and spent the afternoon at Lake Mendocino on the boat.

Headed out Sunday morning and made a stop at the top of Hull Mountain.

Went up the West side of the Forest on M1 to Eel River Camp and then over to Anthony Peak. When I was a firefighter I would always hear the sultry voice of the female lookout and always wondered where she was. Too much snow to make it to the Lookout, got within 1/8 of a mile to it.

Someone just had to try and get across the drift.

Great weekend, makes me thirsty for more!

What do you ride. and when can you ride.
Maps, we don't need no stinking maps. just gas and some time.
After school gets out I can ride more.

On the east coast they refer to "school" as the county motel.

Hop Sing I thought you beat that charge of underground LabraDoodle racing?

I'm in Corning as well.

Yea I have connections even in here.
I get out June sixth. and then I am going out on the rails.
I will be up at Weed Ca. for a few days and then catch out on a North bound. Anybody want to come. Going to riding the steel giant , with lots of wheels. If you think I am full of it, tag along. my F.T.R.A. friends may or may not approve, so you will kinda be on your own, as I don't pull a ton of weight with them. But enough to keep you alive if you mind you P's and Q's and follow my lead.

If Scheuler was in office I'd put in a call and have them do a b.c. search for that cell phone you snuck in.
I'd be in, but I'll need to put in for vacation from work with at least a week's notice. Should I wear my Klim gear, or would I stand out too much?
Maybe a helmet would be good if the conductor took a swing at me with his sap.
Honestly this is something I've always wanted to do, up to Portland and back.
Some day Hop-Sing, someday.....
