Thanks for waiting

while I aired that tire up! Weird that it held 20 #s for 4 months of no riding with only 40 #s in the TuBliss, but would go flat while riding. (swapping it out tonight)

And thanks again for showing us a great day, Bob and Tony. Fun group. And to whoever arranged to not have one single other vehicle or rider on any of the roads or trails, Thanks!

I had a good time too. I need to watch out for the ICE . I didn't feel any pain when I got up off the ground or for that matter the rest of the 50+ mile ride. But last night I did start feeling some pain. Must be a Bruised Rib. Some how the handlebar got me!
Next time you need to stage from my place, lots of riding out of LaPorte. We can leave after the ICE melts LOL.

Thats good nothing else got tweaked, that looked to have been a pretty good go-down.

Strange to be riding along in dust and also realize your riding on ice/frozen dirt. Thanks again Tony for showing us around on the morning ride, some great stuff that Ive never ridden before.

I saw some funny ha-ha marks later where Bob nearly spun his 650R out on semi frozen hardpack shiny dirt, may have also had calcium chloride mixed in from the logging guys but it was slick.

Great Ride! Great group of guys! So like always I was to busy riding to take many pictures, did manage to stop and take a picture of my finger and one of Stu perfecting some new kind of adjustable air pressure for his front tire, apparently it has a variable of 4 to 30 psi. Some guys know all the tricks. And one at a brief stop at the old town of Scales, Tony knows the history around here pretty good, during the gold rush there were thousands of people who lived here. Anyway looking forward to the next ride and don't forget about the New Years Poker Run, all single track and all the food and drink you can handle.

I didn't get home until about an hour ago, a little chilled and certianly sore. Nothing a little hot tub therapy can't fix. Thanks again and it was good meeting everyone who participated. Sorry if I slowed anybody down but I think we all had a great time. BTW 225 miles total from my door and back. Never hit reserve on ol'Blue but have to be close.

I have a friend who lives in Stonyford and was riding on Saturday. He told me this morning he saw some crazy guy riding a KLR at Stonyford. I asked him if it was blue, he said yes. I said, well that crazy guy rode with us on Sunday. Then he said-OH-well how was your ride? LOL Big State small World.

I think its a good workout riding big bikes around,it works all the riding muscles just fireroading the things. I noticed this with the DR on Sunday so Im sure Redog1 noticed it over the weekend.
Its like swinging two heavy bats to warm/strengthen things up.

Just as long as they dont tip over or land on me Im ok with it.

Then when I get on the KTM 300 it will feel like a very fast toy.

(I wont ride the DR at Stonyford though)

Laugh Yeah, that was me,

I got the Stud award at Stonyford (or stupid award) and I have to tell ya, after both days of riding, I'm still hurting today. All of my core muscles are aching but damn I had fun. . Sometimes it's hard to remember I'm not as young as I used to be.

Howard Goodman showed some pictures on facebook showing the damage this latest wind did. Lots of down branches and big trees blocking the roads.

...and I believe the 200 is currently for sale. I got something in the works but we'll see how the next week comes together. . KLR just beats me to death at this point, I'm ready for something lighter, faster (I hope)

The 530 sold,the 200 sold,Im down to 1 KTM but its a good one!

I put 3 hours on the 2014 300 today and its the smoothest 2 stroke Ive had yet,be even better once I jet it in .
It climbs big granite shelves easily and just keeps pulling away like a 4 stroke.

As far as trees there were lots of them laying all over,we boonie crashed around them as best we could, spent an hour cutting trees off the road just to get Bob's truck up to Rag Dump.

Wind was howling half the day then just petered out to nothing.

Did a impromptu ride to the top of Shasta Bally because I have never been up there on a clear day,
it was nice and cool, no dust.
I took the back way staying off the freeway from Red Bluff to get some new scenery.
If I get inspired I will pull some screen shots off the GoPro and see If there is any good video worth clipping.
121mi round trip.
