Basicly there is a roof bow right under where the fiberglass ends and the roof panels begin at the rear of the original body.

That determined where the cut would be made at the back,,,,,the next important cut was the tube that runs under the window,,,that had to be cut perfectly straight down from the forward edge of the roof bow.

Matching cuts were made between the 2nd and 3rd window and the 2 roof bows were welded together where they butt up against each other and the tube at the bottom of the window welded to the upright member between the 2nd and now nonexisting 3rd window,,,,effectively shortening the body by ten feet.

Here's a few pics of the joints where the major pieces were welded together.

This is at the bottom of the window frame.

Still have to make a piece to fit in here ,,,this is at floor leval.

The body of the bus instilled the rigidity of the frame.
flex in a frame that long is not a bad thing its impossible to remove all the flex nor would you want to on such a ride, just like a semi-truck frame flexes a LOT. If it didn't flex it crack the frame in no time.

Nice work on the project so far.
