Room for a couple of more TSC underbed boxes on the left side now.

This is cool. I like what you are doing with it. Do you have a full view side shot of it for comparison?

This is one of the best threads here. It pre-dated the shiny things catergoty, doesn't it? I love everything about this truck/bus except one tiny thing, red lights, lack of, visible from the sides at the rear. The only red light you have visible from the side is at the tops of the cab, only halfway back. In poor visibility somone approaching from either side might not think the second half of the truck is there.

There will be more lights, probably set into the angled part of the body.

A light bar will go across the top and side directionals as well.

Thanks for the props.

We pulled the camper for the first time this weekend with the new transmission and it performed great, this thing is able to put its torque to much better use now.

I can forget about changing the gears in the rearend until the new engine goes in however.
While this thing has more than it's advertised 160hp, it's not enough to pull any lower gear ratio so I'll live with it's 65-70 mph top speed for this year.

This is what we were doing while camping.

Time for an update, progress is being made but I'm actually using the bus more than working on it.

In the past month we've put a little over 2,000 mostly trouble free towing miles.

June saw another inmate and myself make the trip to New Hampshire for the New England Classic Dualsport ride which is the furthest away from home that I've ventured so far.
Just under 500 miles round trip.

Somewhere near Boston we developed a "signifigant" fuel leak at the injection pump, luckily I was able to fix it by tightining up a bolt on the pump.
Spent more time figuring out where it was coming from than fixing it.

After getting home I had to replace another wheel seal, as of now those are the only bugs that needed working out.

Camping out at NHIS

I managed to finish up the needed welding above the deck and get some more body work on the bed before the Mrs's and I headed into the Adirondacks for a few weekend of camping.
what a blast that was.

Got to do a little riding too.

Anyone who's ever been to the A'dacks with a heavy vehicle can attest to the steepness of some of the hills,,,,the bus does outperform my Dodge on the hills, I'll have to be content with that for now.

Looking forward to transplanting that C even more now.

With a freshly calibrated speedometer the bus get's a little better than 9mpg while towing, probably not much better without.
Not too bad considering I must be knocking on the door of 28,000 lbs.
