No problem, I have been following this thread from the start. I should have said June 2nd "2013". The bike will be readied this winter for the trip because next winter I will be away.

Looking forward to meeting you.Pleased to hear there are others planning on an early start. Being first out of the gate isn't important but because I'll be on the big KTM, I might be the first to finish

From what I've seen of the route, there will be no shortage of places to crash.

Now there is a thought for the web site.... putting a map up of fellow inmates that can and will help with the trip... of course the inmates would post what they are willing to offer.... if they are close to the TCAT.
just thinking out loud... I would of been in a difficult way if Fab didn't help me out..... thanks again Fab...

Good idea - we have tools, a workspace, a 2 bike trailer, expertise, camping room or a spare bed, and could help people in need, and not only those on the TCAT, for that matter.

Like this idea.
Just caught up here and guess I am too lazy to read the 146 pages. So where are you on the trail. I am recently retired and there are a few of us in North west part of Ontario that could be a resource to the completion/documentation of the trail between Thunder Bay and the Manitoba border. We have ridden a good deal of the old logging roads rehabbed rail lines tote roads and other trails that connect this part of the country. There are so many options for trail crossing the area. Also there are plenty of areas where logging/mining activity can cause a road to become unusable or dangerous and of course the ever present activity of the national rodent which can flood out a road in a weekend. If you need any part confirmed or are in need of alternatives etc do not hesitate to use us as a resource.
