These folks are a newly formed ATV group that is working very hard to get legal trails opened up in NNY like this more than 200mile multi-use trail system which will actually allow motorized use: http://www.northcountrypublicradio.o...e-trail-system

Myself and a couple of other dualsport riders (just my brother and his wife so far) are going to go over to the pig roast just so they don't forget that people ride stuff with two wheels. If you are going to be out and about on Saturday you should try to make it up here, eat pig for $8 and we can go hit some of the hidden local gems.

Cold is good, Gear is comfortable. I have upgraded from carharts.

Leaving here Saturday morning EARLY because I know chuck likes to sleep in.

I just got back from 96* in DC with 2 million bikers. A nice cool ride in the dacks will be great.

I left DC Wed 7:30 AM on the beltway thinking "I gotta get out of this town before it really gets bad." On the 495 east in the far left lane (of 5 to 7). I looked up at one of those electric signs. It said I 70 north 12 miles 45 minutes and it was right. After that I was rewarded with the HOV (carpool) lane and they were hauling azz for the next 33 miles. Bikes were still coming into DC, I was one of the few heading out.

See you tomorrow morning.

We can meet some place, I have all day.

Guys, i just did a whole bunch of reconfiguring to see if I could swing the ride with ya for part of tomorrow, but i'll have 5 hours of saddle time on the WR as it is with a stop at the farm to wrench a bit.

I'll throw this out though if any of you want ride far tomorrow after the group ride. I've got one of the small heated cabins at Prospect Mt with two bunk beds still open. I'll be doing the DS ride, but the ADV looks like a good time and there's lots of great street riding too. Should be some campfire activity at the CG as well on Sat night.

Have a great ride,
Rich

That's the plan, as long as you guys plan on sticking to the hard road. If it's going to be multi-surface... I don't know what to do.

I remember the last ride I went on with you and David. The pace was "spirited". If I'm on the XT I'll just hold you guys back.

Of course, the way you can ride I could be on a Panigale and hold you back.

C'mon out! Of course I'm not home right now but I'll explain how to break into my garage (then call the cops...)!

We can assemble at my place and I'll have fresh coffee brewed and ready. It's a good jump-off point. David? Kevin? Tom?

Either way I'm looking forward to seeing ya'll tomorrow!

What time should I plan on getting to Lowville?

Keep in mind I have to ride right straight over the top of that frozen tundra we call Tug Hill to get there.
