This the only pic I took.

I saw a beautiful Airhead, but never took a picture. Hope to see it again. :)

Good people, Good ride, good weather. It was an adventure at the end. How did it work out Rich?

Chuck, I took county route 24 from route 68 north of Edwards all the way to the fort drum fence near Antwerp. I nice back road ride. I did manage a Fish Sandwich on the way home.

3 days just under 900 smiles Bike ran and handled great.

+1. Next time.

As always, a good time hanging and riding with you both. Bummer on my goof and the change up in fun factor. No go on the venture home, thanks David. Al, thanks again for all the effort. I even went back out in the truck and walked about 2 miles of that first road looking, but it's long gone.... C'est la vie. >>>

Bleagh! I kept hoping, Rich. Checked the far side of CR18 on my last trip through, looking for a bad bounce or traffic kicking it...

Too many phone calls and dealing with the bureaucratic bs now. That bites. Hopefully it'll straighten out in short order.

Something you said yesterday - 'distracted' - hit home. People think I'm anti-social sometimes, but there are things that you do so often, that if you don't have a regular routine that you force yourself to follow, things get borked. See gas caps on the pavement, fuel hoses still stuck in filler caps as the vehicle goes down the road, etc. I stopped in P'burg on the way home yesterday, was distracted by a young guy on a beater K100, and left my cell phone and glasses on the table as I headed for the bike.

David, nice ride (except the dirt!) and thanks again for breakfast. Came back to the southern most light checking for you, assumed you'd turned around, per the sketchy plan. Glad to see you made it home in good shape. Next time!

Good luck with the paperwork Rich, planning on the 21rst.

No, dirt.

At least, as I understand it. Gonna be more of a Rich ride.

The airhead will be staying home that day.

Great!

The plan so far is to meet up in Saranac Lake and do a big loop from there to Keene area for lunch via mostly paved and some car grade dirt/gravel. I'll post again as we get closer, but probably a meet and eat for breakfast for the early crowd and an all rider meet up at the boat launch (like last ride). I'd say a 10 am "kickstands up" start given the number of riders from 2 to 3 hours west. For the all street riders, I'll work in some paved sections to bypass the dirt and we'll all meet up again a bit down the road and also at lunch. Currently, the ride is about 116 miles and 4 hours to lunch around 2pm. From there we can go our separate ways home or if some still want to put in more miles as it is a Saturday, that's doable too. As always, it's an informal meet & ride and "ride your own ride" pace with no one left behind.

Hell Yes! Name a destination and I'm in! Watch ya wanna do?

It would be really cool if we could find ourselves in downtown Oswego around 5-ish so I can cure my Mexican Food jones...but it's not a requirement.
