There is a move afoot by the provincial gov't here in BC to close the KVR route to motorized traffic. If they succeed it will be the beginning of many more area closures. Here is a link to a DSBC thread with an online petition and other ways to help in the fight to keep these routes open to us.

BUMP to help gather signatures for the petition to keep open the KVR route. I'm planning a ride on it next week.

Nice Job!
Great report Lee. Definitely added to things I must do soon! Perhaps this fall or next season? Look forward to meeting you on a ride again soon!

For the rider on the Blue KLR 650 that I met at the pull out on 532 yesterday. Here is the report that should help you do the run. Castlegar is a great starting point for this ride. Please take and post some pictures of the current state of the Paulson washout, and the reported "new bridge". Have fun, safe ride.

Thanks for this
It took me a while to get here, but I'm happy to finally find this info. I've thought about riding the KVR for years, but haven't got there yet. Your photos are the inspiration I need!

Glad to hear that. You won't be disappointed. The scenery is fantastic and you will meet very few people along it's length. It's like having your own private back road route. Do it sooner rather than later as the selfish special interest groups want it to themselves. Just remember that it is still crown land and open to all.
