You know....my D606 in the rear is low too.

But since it's my 1st DS tire I've worn out, I don't know how low to let it get before I trash it...

I just need to make sure I can make it through MILL CREEK ! ! !

well you know the less meat you have to hold the tire up off the road the more likely you are to have a flat. on the dirt roads this always happens, its not the lack of traction...its the rocks causing a flat. rember a bike tire is not like a car tire in it dont have steel belts and its not as thick. a good hard packed dirt road will cut a slick tire all to hell. that tread adds high and keeps alot of this from happening. i have ran tires like yours and mine untill the bare threads show on paved roads, but hit a dirt road for just a few miles and boom FLAT.....damn i suer hate fixing a flat beside the road.

But thats just my experiance over the years.. ask stanley how them smooth tires hold up in the hard dirt poor feller !

anyways,,,, im getting me a new one verry soon and kinda cutting the sharp rocks short for a day or two.

Ya bunch of chicken-shits!

I took Mill Creek on the slickety-slick "dual-sport tires" and they did fine (except for the part where the dude claimed it as his private road). They're a little cut up but I guess they're tougher than they look.

Check post #436 here to see tires without knobs.

Yeah, I'm sure I do. I've done a couple of oil changes since I picked it up and haven't even adjusted the tensioner bolt. I'm skeerd to. Afraid it might let go if I do. Assuming it's still intact.

Did that cure the drip? Wasn't much of one, but a little is a lot in this case.

Off-Topic Question - Shotgun

Hey, Mid-TN'ers. I know this is a little off topic, but I'm looking for a new (to me) shotgun. Don't need a $1200+ Bennelli or anything... I'm looking for a Parkerized Mossberg 500 or 590. Would like the larger magazine and a shorter barrel. 18". I can always get a longer barrel for skeet or the like. But I just like the simplicity of the Mossberg and it's safety mechanism.

Any good leads on something like this?

(Back you your normally scheduled 'dinner thread'.)

Yea it fixed it..... You pretty much take the guts out and put in a gasket..... If anyone needs any Gas proof gasket material let me know... I got a whole roll. only used a little square.... I could probably do couple hundred more.... There is a dude on KLR World that is giving them away but was too impatient to wait for him to send me one. Bought a 5 dollar roll of the gasket material. So I got plenty.

LOL. (Sometimes...)
Watchdog buddy just passed away. 2nd best home defense behind a mean deep bark is a chi-chick of a 3" 00 shell going into the bore.
Plus I just like -em and need one anyway. Anyone interested in some sporting clays?

Well, I might just take you up on it. I need to order from Eagle Mike and then I can bring the beer. You can look over my shoulder and thump me on the head if I start to go off the rails.

I'm in Bellevue. Whats the petcock mod? I need to do the T-mod, it's already bitten me once in a heavy rain.
