Are there any truly authentic places in Nashville? Ate at some out west, they are good!

La Terezza, Franklin. On rt 96 , near I-65, across the road from the Franklin Chop House. (also very good )

Very good salsa and chips and Dos Equies dark on tap are plusses IMO......everything we have tried has been very good. Been back several times. It isn't like eating in Mexico or the southwest, but it's close.

The one here in White House is the best one I've ever eaten at. They are family owned and operated. Have been for almost 20 years. I wouldn't consider the place good for a RTE gathering due to the location, but if you're ever in the area, they are definitely worth checking out.

BTW, it's called Taco Bell.

OK, I'm kidding. It's really called De La Paz. And I've not had better queso anywhere else.

I went to this place in East LA, where all of the locals hung out... massively hoping place. My coworker asked for an order of cheese dip, and they had no idea what we wanted. We explained it, and they said that they had never seen anything like it. Not sure if they were pulling our leg or what.

Not volunteering, but here is a centrally located Mexican

Rose Pepper in East Nashville, again, central location, nice patio/ deck that would accommodate us easily.

I had someone else tell me the rodepepper place was pretty good.

That place in Hermitage sounded good too.

Of course, if I had my pic I would choose BajaDoug's suggestion

Really disappointing food, great margaritas, a bit pricy for Mexican since it is in East Nashville. Way, way crowded at anything close to a normal dinner time also mostly because it is East Nasty.

Plenty of far better Mexican joints around town.
