Country Diner in Cunningham, Tennessee. Owned by the cook, cooking done by the the owner: Betty Jo. I ate here at least once a week when I live in Cunningham. Some great back roads from Ashland City to Cunningham and south of South Side. Don't hang out in Southside long there is an Outlaw (1%er) clubhouse.

From Hwy 48 in Cunningham take 13 toward Erin. Go 1.5 miles Country Diner on right.

Hamburgers are my favorite and if Betty Jo is not busy she will come out and talk witth you, she is a hoot. Closed on Monday, early on Wednesday evening, and after all the Church folk are gone on Sunday around 2:00.

I had two cameras on me that day with full intentions of taking some pictures. I don't know what happened....memory gland broke.....I felt bad too. I was trembling like a dog sh1ttin' peach seeds when I first got there and couldn't think straight. Got better after eating and drinking a half gallon of tea....maybe a glucose thing???

Anyway, I'll take double pictures next time to make up for it.

I hear ya. I used to get that a lot. Hypoglycemia...low blood sugar.
Its easily corrected through diet.

Wow...where'd the time go???

The dinner meet is this Saturday and we haven't decided on where we're going.

We need some suggestions from the troops. cdq3 has suggested the Jumbo House in Columbia. Any others?

Strattons in Ashland City has announced they are winding down. If you don't go soon, you'll miss out on a '50s style burgers and shake diner. It has been crazy busy the last few times I passed it, everyone trying to get there one more time.

I'll miss 'em.
