Y'all should consider coming to the Franklin Food Truck festival on Friday evening.....www.eatthestreetfranklin.com

I've got some family coming in for this, so we'll be there.

Looks to be a fun event.Missed it last year (although I did have to sit in the traffic to get home).

check out the website I linked.....looks to be 40 odd food trucks, music, kids play area, in the downtown of Franklin. If it is like other Franklin Festivals, they will close down the main street to all but foot traffic for a couple of blocks in the heart of town. Plenty of free parking in garages or lots. Website says they had 7000 people last year, expect more this year. last year they had 26 trucks, they have 40 signed up for this year.

it's all for a great cause as well.

I'll have my wife, daughter, son-in-law, and 2 1/2 year old granddaughter in tow.....who will be calling the shots, I'm sure. Have a feeling I will be spending much of the evening watching my granddaughter in the kids area...

So, you guys figure it out and I'll make sure to come by and say hi. Have to figure they will have some tables/chairs set up somewhere, but I think we will probably bring some folding chairs with us as well. I've never been to this festival before, so I don't know exactly what to expect.

idea: If someone wants to act as a contact person step up and let us PM you our cell numbers - we can text close to meeting and see where everyone is.

I can't guarantee that I'll be able to meet up, but I'd like to know when and where in case I can be there.
