These 2 pics are just amazing. They really capture the Adirondacks.

"But some of us really abuse the privelege. ( Note the position of the bike and the handicap signs ) As I've grown older and hopefully wiser I've learned not to let as many things irritate me, this is one of them that always will, no excuse for this at all. Ignorance is not a handicap in my world"

You are on the money on this. A friend went through a double lung transplant.... he deserved a handicap parking sticker.... he showed me the cards he had printed and had to use all to often....... " This parking for the handicaped, not the inconsiderate."

Amazing pictures and delightful narration to accompany them. Thank you for sharing!!

If I may pry with one question, what camera are you using? The shots are truly spectacular!

The PostStar said the roads were supposed to get slick up in Glens Falls too.

I feel your pain, I live about 10 miles away as evidenced in my following post

Hannda, about the same in Glens Falls although I believe the further North the lesser the snowfall, Albany and south seemed to bear the brunt of the storm.

Did I ever mention my love / hate relationship with the North East? Love it six or seven months a year, Hate it in the dark months of winter. This was the scene yesterday

A balmy 32 degrees, rain, sleet and snow all day ( today isn't looking pretty either)

But enough whining, we had a beautiful spring and summer and were blessed with a magnificent fall both weather wise and color wise.

So any way, at the bottom of the memorial highway I go right and it's about 17 miles to Lake Placid on NY 86W / NY86 scenic west. This is a great road and aptly named.

And on this I find :

The entrance to Whiteface Mountain

Swimming Holes

A Warning

And a few more things

Nearing the outskirts of Lake Placid you find

Golf with a View

And from tomorrow through the weekend the weatherman claims sunny with temps in the 50's, - I'm going riding

I didn't mind so much when you guys were getting the bad weather back there, but it has now snowed at my house. I guess that's what I get for being so callous about another rider's weather.
