Hey you Sorry I haven't been doing much riding lately...busy, busy, busy with J back home and school starting! Plus I'm feeling way out of shape and I'm trying to run and pedal more before it's snowy.

A hike we did with J the day after we got him back home...life with Maddie is never dull! (look at her rt arm and chest)

I love the look on J's face! Although my sunglasses make my eyes look just a teensy bit evil...

Damn Maggie, you gotta stay away from those critters with sharp pointy things on them!!!! How long did it take to get them all out?

But finally.... J cut his hair?!? I recall as a kid (after I lost the majority of my hair to radiation treatments) HATING haircuts, so the folks let me grow out my hair pretty long. For several years (til about J's age), I pitched a fit when I had to get a haircut.

Man, I can only fit one big trip a year into the budget. Next summer is NewFoundland/Labrador...but the following summer has GOT to be New Mexico, Arizona, Idaho, Colorado & Utah at the very least. I must admit, ADV really cuts down on my productivity sometimes

She was fairly cooperative and we got the majority of them out in about half an hour on the trail. The deepest and most sensitive ones were the ones right around her wrist; she wouldn't let me get near them. She seemed to be able to walk ok so we hiked back down the trail about a mile and a half to the Jeep and drove home. Once there J and Josh distracted her with sausage and I was able to get the rest out Except for two that had broke off under her skin; she had to go to the vet and have them dug out while she was under.

J's hair...my parents asked if they could cut it and I said they could as long as he agreed; they couldn't force him. So he did and he donated it to Locks of Love. My mom said he freaked out when he first looked in the mirror, so I'm sure he'll grow it out again this winter Sounds like you went thru an ordeal as a kid...probably explains why you're so kind and compassionate now... Oh- and I'm officially VERY JEALOUS of your Newfoundland/Labrador trip!

She better not! I've paid more in vet bills in the last year than I have taking J to the doctor in the past three years!

Dogs and Skunks are a lot of fun too, expecially in the middle of the night under your open bed room window.
