There's going to be a bit of a pause in my report.. i'm heading up to utah this morning to visit my daughter, but in the car (wife & younger son going, too). I'll be there a few days, so won't get to the report. But more pics & dramatic narration are coming!

Scotty and Tom, you guys are my heroes! I really need to come back to Arizona for some vacation riding. I would love to make that ride to the canyon with you guys some day. Living in Oklahoma sucks even more now. Thanks.

BTW, Awesome pictures! I'm looking forward to the rest of the report.

Thanks Rascal, 10 minutes later it didn't look like that, but more fun when dirty!

Great ride Scotty and Tom! Nothing beats the Canyon. Gotta quit working so much and get back to riding more. Thanks for the inspirational RR.

I noticed the fatty front. Cushy in the rocks? How do you like it? How's it do on the road?

Yeeha, doozy rr guys!

Scotty and Tom,

You coupla studs! Absolutely love the vids that take us along for the concentration and line spotting. I felt like I was right there with you two truckin' through the rocks and ruts. And, the gorgeous awe-inspiring photography only fuels my fire for going back and following your tracks.

Loved the zip tie solution, and the info on the blue tint of the little Colorado. You guys really know how to round out a report.

Thank so much for taking the time to share this amazing buddy adventure!

My best to you guys,
Nicole

back from utah!

well, i finally made it back so i can finish our ride report.. especially since the buildup for day 3 should be really high by now.. lots of hype.. drama.. tension.. will they live? will the bikes survive such studly behaviour?

Thanks for all the kind words.. we enjoy sharing the trip with everyone.

kbblue:
i like the fat front.. i have to use it because it is a supermotard, so i use a rear tire in the front so i can get the more aggressive tread. But it does fine, & better i think in sand & mud.

nicole:
thanks for the kind words.. Tom & I both appreciate female adulation at our ages.. .. and to be labeled studs!! You saw how quick Tom was to invite you on our next ride!

I always love the views & scenery at the GC.. but the ride to Cape Solitude was extraordinary. I was blown away by the scenery.. probably the best destination ride i've ever done.

rascal: That xrl is very sweet.. Tom got it through everything we threw at it.

Chris: You also have a standing invitation.. & you should definitely try to make the next GC ride next early summer. I'd also like to come out for your next nevada/ north rim ride..

Thanks again to everyone for the replies & feedback.. makes it worth spending the time to write up the report.. I'll get the report of the dramatic day 3 soon, as well as the long ride home through the rez on day 4.
