I agree 100%.

For instance, the BWM Rally's and the KTM Rally's and the VStrom Rally's......ADV'ers attend.....but not organized and run off by an ADV member.

A true Rally as it has been inspired by combining elements of the Dakar and the Baja 1000.

Next year it will be called the Border to Border and Back Rally. Figure that one out.
Let's not rush things it can't be an annual rally until it has occured at least a couple of years.

I would agree with the Smokin Hole Rally, if that is an ADV organized Rally , not just a rally that a lot of ADV'ers attend. Never been there so I don't know for sure.

Next year's WARPED event will be #7. That should count for something.

Thanks to a group of morons who set some dunes on fire a few years back (and put the whole thing on YouTube) the ADV name is poison in DV. The event was always tacked on to the IBMWR rally anyhow, so it wasn't really our own in the first place.

Another criteria should be that it is a larger Rally . say 100 or so folks attending . If not the place will get crowded with events that are reocurring but probably should be listed in upcoming events or regionals not Annual Rallies.

Agreed, My Bro-Bro,........... The RDV, BYOB, and West Fest were my first rallies to attend. I think the Bigger-Regional Rallies are Annual Rallies, and the European Rallies with a good following should be there as well. I put on an Old School Rally,(5th year coming in Oct.) and pro-mo it in Old's Cool section of this site, and it's not (I think) an annual rally due to mostly southeast people attending, and usually only 40-60 people attending.......
