We need to pack the house and show them that our community likes ADV riding opportunities like Backcountry Discovery Routes. We’ll also show some highlights from other BDR trips and a bit of a teaser for the upcoming AZBDR Documentary.

Please also share this on Facebook and help us pack the house.

It's been just over a year since we began researching, riding and documenting all the best roads in Arizona. We just finished up over Christmas. What a great state. Stay tuned for the map and put away some time in 2014 to go check it out for yourself.

Just got the Alaska map and book. Pretty neat. Found routes I've never heard of before. Definitely a quality looking map. Just a shame Alaska doesn't have a whole mess of roads going all over the state.

Sometime online in Feb. would be my guess, after the DVD premiere attendees get 1st shot of buying one.

Sweet. We figured some from AK would know all the roads already.
Those guys at Motoquest know their stuff.

Trip planning question: this summer I hope to spend about three months or more on the road camping and riding lots of the great roads on the Butler Maps starting with the Ozarks and continuing westward. The route and the roads ridden will vary as the spirit, weather, and finances dictate. I intend to supplement the maps with a gps, and therein lies my problem.

How encode the waypoints given for the start and end of the G1 type road segments so they make some sense in the list that shows up on the GPS.

My present GPS allows waypoints to have names up to ten characters when created but only displays eight characters when building a route on the device!

My initial thoughts were to use the first two letters of the map name followed by two numerals identifying the ride block, e.g., OZ10 for those G1. roads in block 10 of the Ozark Map. Inside that block are at least 10 G1 rides each having at least two waypoints. Occasionally, the end-point of one segment will be the beginning point of another.

Any and all ideas welcome ...:
