250 husky

well i just got my Ls and want to get an off road bike as my first bike. top of my list at the moment is a 2005 250 husky enduro bike. i know its not very adventure oriented but thought you guys might be able to help me anyway. the guy in the shop wants 3750 aus dollars for it, from my research this seems reasonable however i was wondering your thoughts another thing, is it a bike thats easy to live with, is it a bit forgiving for a novice or is it gonna take off and kill me if i do the wrong thing? and finally parts wise. im pretty mechanically minded and do all my own work on my car (alfa 33) so are part prices reasonable or absolutely ridiculous and what sort of availability is there in adelaide/ australia.
i think thats all for now
cheers for your help

I have TE 250 and I wouldn't recommend it for a novice. It is a really nice bike and fun to ride, but it can be a handful.

2t or 4t

Is it a two stroke or a four stroke. Im not sure when they brought out the 250 four stroke I thought it was in 04 but I could be wrong I know you want to pay close attention to the valves as there were a heap of problems.
Build it and you will ride

My crazy bike build

They had both the TE and WR in '05, completely different bikes.
