It's pretty obvious this whole thread is in jest.

My powers of good and evil are not in jest.

They're for realz.

Frankly, all I was really interested in was a thread that accumulated the photos and known facts available so far. The "hardcore" thread may have had a lot of idiotic crap of its own going on, but at least it was accomplishing that job if you were willing to sort the wheat from the chaff. My hope was that the new thread would do this with a minimum of off-topic bullshit, but I see it's since been merged with the official Tiger 800 joke thread.

I've got nothing against you guys having your fun, I was just hoping for a discussion about the actual bike (or what we know of it so far) instead of outlandish fiction. Oh well.

The outlandish fiction IS what they know 'bout the bike.

Nothing concrete released, so they are having fun. I like to check this thread out! Brings a smile to my face.

Yesterday while in Oregon's Coast Range a very aged American Indian shaman who had just come back from a vision quest appeared like a wraith on the side of the road and I stopped to give him tobacco and tea, s is our custom. He said as he stood on the Sacred Mountain we whites know as Necanicum he had a revelation.

He said an eagle spoke to him, saying, "Dark Shadow of the Chinook Tribe, Clan of the Bear, Family of the White Salmon, I bring to you news of the new Triumph Tiger 800 DS. This steed made of things you will not understand but know this: it will take you and brothers from all races of men far and wide, as if transported on the backs of your totems."

He went on, "This steed will shape change at your will and as you think your thoughts, will skim along open ground quickly the prairie elk, climb hills and mountains as well as the great bear, and will be as nimble as the fox."

The old man uttered, "Be known that the Clan of the Bear is your totem, and it will meld with the Raven, the Orca, the Wolf and the Salmon and all the other totems to be one. In one that is many there is power and this power shall be manifested in the new triumph Tiger 800 DS. Remember this."

After that, silence. The Shaman drifted into the forest like the tendrils of fog tht surrounded us and no sounds echoed in the misting rain.

Its abundantly clear that thread is feeling mighty lonesome! We're all willing it to follow the other one and be in good company- come on Mids - if we all hassle them (to move it) they'll leave it exactly where it is!!

Thanks Mista Vern

Again your post shows this thread tells nothing but the truth and hard facts about the Tiger 800. Those non-believers who disqualify this thread for not being serious will be punished, they will never be able to Ride The Tiger

And it looks like nay-sayers' posts get nuked automatically! Once again, this post is touched by His noodly appendage(s).

Well, yes, you are like Darth Vader, but not right before he dies .......

You're like Darth Vader, after he starts rooting for the other team. Don't think my team of papparazzi's haven't scoped you out .......

See ????????
