He also has an 8 circuit fuse block if you need more connections. Jim's stuff is top notch and a few minutes reading on his page can save you from electrical hell. I use his kits to wire in heated grips on all our bikes.
Fits nice and tidy under the seat too.

Yup, that worked for me. And, given that the Tiger is already factory wired for two hot Powerlet ports, it made more sense to me to get the 3 Circuit solution with all circuits switched.

Also - if one doesn't need/want the factory aux lights or heated grips, each of those circuits has a pigtail that can be tapped in to under the tank - both of which are already fused under the seat.

The aux light pigtail can be wired up using an AMP 070 multilock connector - details are over at the UK site in a DIY aux light thread.

I'm not sure what the connector is on the pigtail for the heated grips...but I'd simply pick up Eastern Beaver's harness, whether you're using that circuit for grips or not.

Looks like the 3 circuit solution will be the next purchase for the tiger

between the fogs, HIDS, and battery tender, my battery terminals are overloaded

Basically you're just connecting the kit to the battery, tapping into a switched wire (if that's what you want), then run your wires from your accessory to one of the three plugs on the kit.

See, you already know a little Greek.

With apologies to any Greek readers.

Yep I am aware of the Arrow Map, but one of the drama's with most new motorcycles is they are so environmentally friendly to meet emission and noise rules that nearly every bike (certainly previous Triumphs, Ducati's) have lean mix ratio's where noise emissions are tested which also happens to be in the lower half of throttle openings.

We did the same makeover on a Striple 675 and found an extra 8hp but most importantly cleaned up some flat areas of throttle and provided an 6% increase in torque down low.

What's the advantage of switched vs unswithced? I might use the unused heated grips switched wire for my GPS. I need another switched wire for the radar detector. My heated gear can be plugged to the aux connection on the side of the bike

Anyone has experience with this http://www.aerostich.com/prevent-or-...use-block.html ? Wouldn't be much different than the 3CS unswitched at 1/3 the cost and an extra fuse.

With unswitched, you run the risk of leaving something on and running down your battery. You can get a relay and fuse holders from any auto parts store, and make your own harness to fit your bike exactly.

+1. I'm a big fan of Eastern Beaver products. I used Jim's kits for installing heated grips on my Tiger, my Wee-Strom before that, and my XRL.

That's just a fuse block, you still need a relay, connectors, wire etc.

Yes you can for sure. The reason so many of us like using the Eastern Beaver stuff is because Jim uses Made in Japan components, not from China, quality connectors and he does them right. Have you ever looked at his connections, then compared your own? I'll take Jim's any day. Sure they're not cheap, but they're not expensive either. Add up the components and then a bit for your time and I'll bet you're pretty close to what you'd pay for EB stuff.

Plus his kits make it easy for the electrically challenged to hook up stuff "the right way" and have it run for the life of the bike. There's a price for quality that some of us are willing to pay.

+1 I'm not electrically challenged. I could make the stuff. I purchased out of convenience and I have no regrets. His attention to detail is tops and so is the quality.

There is a tiny light bulb (daytime running light?) In the headlight assembly. A black and a yellow write to tap / solder into for a nice switched connection right up close to the instrument cluster and gps.

haven't gone looking yet, but apparently, 4 easy bolts to remove headlight trim and access to bulb and wires.

I think switched is the way to go. Even if you turn the bike of, the gps can run on the internal batteries or the rechargeable.
