Tomorrow, Tuesday 11/30, CNBC's show Bullseye (6PM ET) will have part of the show dedicated to the Baja 1000. I do not know how much of the show, or what it will deal with. It is a business show so I would think it will have a business spin on it. The demo showed trucks, not sure about bikes? Just wanted to pass it along.

It looks like it is actually going to show tonight. It looks like mostly trucks.

Is NBC Sports the same as CNBC (cable channel 43)
Thanks for the heads up.

I don't know, but I did see the trailer for "Dust to Glory". Hopefully it will have a lot more actual racing content. The NBC show had a lot of interviews and some followed the race officials. I hope the Dakar coverage is not like this.

Find the trailer here. It should be out in April 2005.

There is a thread on Dust to Glory, with a link to HD content for XP users, that can be found here.

Thumbs down

The NBC showing of the Baja 1000 Race was really a show about Robby Gordon and his buddies. To bad as I was excited about watching a race not listing to commentary on Gordon who I really don't care for anyway. I did like seeing Malcome Smith for a breff moment. It's sad that for NBC to televise this kind of show they have to make it like any other commercial TV show with a NASCAR guy for the star and lots of commercials. What most of us motocyclest I think want to watch is the race and all of the particapants in it.

Dust to Glory looks very good.

I might have some troubling news for ya, Goat Boy. Rumor has it that Gordon (NASCAR guy) will be entered in the Dakar this year. I wouldent be suprised to see our USA coverage of the Dakar concentrate on his standings in the race. A good side to that speculation is that he will bring alot of USA race fans in contact with what the Dakar is. (somthing the KTM Red Bull Team as been trying to do). I hope we get a good even coverage of the race, but only time will tell.

Thanks for the trailer. Everytime I watch that I get chills down my spine followed by a strange emotion of being all chocked up inside. My girlfreind and I spent a little over 10 days touring Baja on the back of my Transalp, We camped on a different secluded(spelling) beach about 8 of those nights. I now must have a special place in my hart for Baja.

I think "Dust to Glory" will be at the Sundance Film Festival, but I could not veiw the scedule on their site. I think the Festivel is in Jan. I have got to go see this move.

Thx a million for the link. I can't believe the US media moguls don't see how this sport would explode if they only gave it more exposure. At least I think it is more exciting than any other motorsport because of all the things involved, especially the challenge and beauty of the terrains. I think the US audience would really be receptive to this style of racing and am curious why it hasn't become more recognised?
