PHX - Mingus Mountain, Smiley Rock Trail, Jerome

It was 110 degrees in the Valley of the Sun yesterday. Heading north to higher elevations, we were rewarded with cooler temps and almost constant cloud cover. Five riders would attack Mingus Mountain, Jerome, and the Smiley Rock Trail.

Jaybiker - KTM 525
Yardstick - KTM 450 Supertanker
Jrproper - KTM 570
Goner - Yamaha WR450
Nightstalker - Honda 450X

My battery was dead and the bike wasn't in the mood to kick start. Everone took a turn.

Jrproper got a tubeless flat on the trail to Cherry Road.

We tried pumping up the tubliss sealing tube.

No luck there. Time to disassemble.

Removing the tubliss system revealed that it split at the seam.

A little slime makes a big sticky mess.

All tubed up.

413 - Primative Road, not suitable for passenger motorcycles, unless you're Yardstick (who rode his 950 2 up down this trail).

For those who haven't been to Jerome before, DON'T BRING YOUR 40 RV!

The Mile High Grill would be our stop for lunch today.

Jayburger had chicken fingers.

Jrproper LOVES the Mile High Grill.

Yardstick is happy to be back from a month of riding in ALASKA! Where's that ride report buddypal?
