Yea, the place to ask is the wests forum.
Check the last few pages of the LA weekend ride thread every week. Someone is always setting up a ride Green lake to holcomb valley is easy but does have a 2 foot deep easy stream crossing. Skyline ( 3N10 ? ) is very easy and scenic, but go slow lots of hikers and bicycles on road.

Three of us just did that ride this last Monday. Lots of trails, many big bike friendly. If you want I can post some video of the ride so you can see what the roads look like. Just let me know, may take a day to two to get to it..
