We would be going thru Verdi and Stampede like we did two weeks ago. Returning by way of Frenchmans. Trying to stay off the asphalt.

No Nothing RIDE

No CLUB....No Leaders...No Followers..No Meetings...No dues.....No one left out.....No brands...No Plans (maybe alittle bit)...if you can ride dirt roads and some trails it works. If we can get enought riders we can even have a riders drawing...for the grand prize of NOTHING. If anyone asks what are you doing?? NOTHING.
Conklin Camp Run.

I am no stranger to solo off hwy rides on bikes and bicycles but it is more fun with others.
Maybe Hotmama will let us fill his Urel up this beer and ice when it's time for the real deal.
I know if five riders show for the first year we will have to take the phone off the hook for the second.
free...Did I mention that its FREE.

A group camp ride trip sounds good to me. That way I can meet the locals (thanks to rjnutt and Brad21 who i PMed already for local info) and get info on the area. I can bring the Ural or ride a dual sport.

I'm moving 19-21 Napa CA to Gardnerville NV. This weekend I did the first phase of the move hope to be done next weekend. So 19th I can't do but after that im game, slow but game.

I'm formulating a plan.
Would like to ride a small bike and thinking about driving the truck up there maybe early Saturday am.
Ride around, then sit in a chair in the forest and drink beer.
I imagine it's going to be coooold at night so what's the campfire situation like there? Maybe I can bring wood?

Camp Ground Run

My camping gear is always ready. I am in Ca. until Wed evening. It would be great to pull off this ride. Don't put those bikes away quite yet. Thanks for the interest.

The camp sites have fire rings and a table. Wood is easy to find. No permits. The sites are nice size. Several tents each no problem. The creek is (out of site). Refueling is the only thing I can think of. Portolla is 30-40 miles. Hwy 395 about the same. I did not check the elevation, but my best guess is 6k.

Conklin Camp Run

So are we talking an overnighter, or a day trip... or riders choice?

Day Ride???

I was thinking about a day ride with the hope of getting others interested in a future campout. Check out the area and enjoy the fall colors. There has been RR's on the area around Taylorsville, but none that I know of around Conklin Camp. My vote is for a day long recon ride for now.

A little late to plan, but there are openings on Topaz to Arnold and back this weekend. Miles of single track, no big bikes.

We can nix the camping if it's too ambitious and just do a day ride Saturday?
whatever works. I may have a new bike if it's ready, I mean literally new to break in
