Hi All,
Ok... this weekend is out for me. Headed to RFR trackday with Sportbike775 (www.sportbike775.com)

Maybe next weekend we can get together for a short ride somewhere? Get this Reno-Tahoe-Carson DS group going. The RTCDS Posse.

Who would be up for a ride this weekend? Either Saturday or Sunday. While I'm done in Gardnerville I don't mind traveling to Reno or Carson to start. While I'm on a KLR I don't mind hooking up with the big dualie crowd and keeping it simple ... I just likes to ride.

Can't wait to ride Pinenuts and out towards Gerlach. Bruno is an old friend.

See ya'll soon.

In the last 30 years we've had two serious accidents involving dirt bikes in the Pine Nuts. The first was a kid that thought racing meant you always held the throttle WFO. He was out on three mile track and launched a jump where he could not see the landing and landed on a quad. Broke his femur in a few spots and gave up riding. The second was the one that killed Jessie Goldberg. It was a head on, but the extenuating circumstances were both riders were running at racing speeds in a tight sand wash, with Jessie running the wash backwards. As they came together the other rider tried to climb out of the wash, and the freaky aspect was Jessie caught the foot peg of the other rider's bike square in the opening of his full face helmet.

Be careful Sunday, forecast is for thunderstorms across the eastern slope of the Sierra. The ridges out here have been getting pummeled by lightening, fortunately with enough rain to lightening fires to a minimum.

I'm in Reno and I'm up for a ride most any weekend. I rode up to Verdi Peak today. Caught a little rain but it was nice and cool. I've got a DR650. I'd like to meet up with some other riders.

Did it. I have been giving a guy form San Diego GPS tracks for the last month. He was one of many who went to Mammoth for Beer and Blues this weekend. Anyway I was riding the Bodie rail road and there he was.
