In an attempt to get this back on track. Pretty clearly not a trailer because it's too tall. Presumably meant to fit a small plot of land -

I'm not crazy about the old fashioned look but different strokes, different folks. I presume that brick pretty well means that it won't ever get moved. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Obviously someone figured out how to comply with urban zoning on this one -

I'd love to see the interiors of those last ones.

These might be associated with those exteriors - they are coming up in the same search but I can't follow the URLs with this app:

Interesting timing. The Tiny House Blog just hit my inbox a few minutes ago. If anyone wants a copy send me a PM with an email address and I will forward it to you. Plenty of good info.
A company called Little House on the Trailer is looking for a blogger if anyone is interested: http://tinyhouseblog.com/announcemen...r-help-wanted/ Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

I seem to be the most interested and I have done a fair amount of research into the subject. Other than you not liking me and my politics (like Ken) is there a problem? I might add that I am trying to ignore Ken but it's kinda silly for you two to carry old CSM bitterness into other threads. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

enough with the RVs, let's get back OT. small homes on a foundation or piers, no wheels.
anyone wants to discuss RVs or RV parks, perfectly OK, start a new thread, have at it. |

I am going to start another thread but the very first post here questioned why a tiny house was anything except a glorified travel trailer. And I chimed in about 4 posts later and several of us discussed our experiences vis a vie tiny homes and trailers and RVs and such.
That was in 2010. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Actually, it's interesting going back and looking at the first posts on this thread. The conversation was very much about tiny houses and RVs and such.
Xerox or whatever his handle is chimed in about 2 pages into the conversation and said that he needed a second place as a garage if he were into tiny homes. Since then I have run across these. Derksen portable garages. They load these on a flatbed light truck and the quotes that I got to buy or lease one and to move one is pretty attractive: ![]() Available in a variety of exteriors: ![]() They will also put a roll up door into a "cabin" for about $500 more: ![]() Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

And in fairness to Xerox that whole portable and secure workshop/storage thang has been a stumbling point for me too.
ISO containers are secure but generally ugly. When I have checked into some of the more exotic commercially available workshop containers with slide outs and opening panels they were unGodly expensive. Interesting that tents don't seem to be part of the equation for most tiny houses because they do allow for increased work space at minimal cost. ![]() ![]() This is a house but shows that containers need not be ugly: ![]() Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

If I were single, I would totally dig living in one of these micro houses.
