My tiny house.....well the one I had to visit after I read some of the last few posts.

Smells better now, dumped some lime and cedar shavings in it.

Time for a thread cleanup....!

In an attempt to get this back on track. Pretty clearly not a trailer because it's too tall. Presumably meant to fit a small plot of land -

I'm not crazy about the old fashioned look but different strokes, different folks. I presume that brick pretty well means that it won't ever get moved.

I am going to start another thread but the very first post here questioned why a tiny house was anything except a glorified travel trailer. And I chimed in about 4 posts later and several of us discussed our experiences vis a vie tiny homes and trailers and RVs and such.

That was in 2010.

Actually, it's interesting going back and looking at the first posts on this thread. The conversation was very much about tiny houses and RVs and such.

Xerox or whatever his handle is chimed in about 2 pages into the conversation and said that he needed a second place as a garage if he were into tiny homes.

Since then I have run across these. Derksen portable garages. They load these on a flatbed light truck and the quotes that I got to buy or lease one and to move one is pretty attractive:

Available in a variety of exteriors:

They will also put a roll up door into a "cabin" for about $500 more:

And in fairness to Xerox that whole portable and secure workshop/storage thang has been a stumbling point for me too.

ISO containers are secure but generally ugly. When I have checked into some of the more exotic commercially available workshop containers with slide outs and opening panels they were unGodly expensive.

Interesting that tents don't seem to be part of the equation for most tiny houses because they do allow for increased work space at minimal cost.
