Great for winter, OK in warm weather but if your doing single trail in summer, you'll fry.

Sweat is the body's airconditioning system, by wicking it away it goes against mother natures design. You need the air hitting the sweat on your body to cool down.

I have had to stop mid ride and strip off my skins. Massive drop in body temperature when I got going again.

They do work great against cramps and muscle fatigue.

skins

Most of the guys that I ride with including myself, wear some kind of skins, and find that the muscle fatigue is much less, 'arm pump' etc.

they are a bit 'warmer' in hot weather but if its cool you feel it a bit more.

mostly riding single track.

These ALDI compression underwear state they are "seamless construction". Part of the way that skins and other similar brands work is by having the individual panels sewn in and in some cases across different grains and sewn in different directions. This puts the pressure on the muscles etc in the correct way. I think these ALDI ones would act as tight fitting thermals only.

I'd prefer to pay a little extra and get the slazenger ones from Big W at a minimum..

If you're interested

Hard to tell from the photo if they are the same as previous Compression garments sold buy Aldi.

If they are the same as previous, they are constructed from a heavier material than other types. If they are like previous they would be more suited as a light thermal underwear. The seales construction of the ones I have are built with elastic type material built in,takes some getting used to initially with them on.

If they are of the traditional lycra materiallike most others they can be worn year round & if it gets real hot pull the sleeves up.

Well worth a look

$20 waterproof duffel bags at Aldi

Aldi have waterproof duffel bags for $20. I bought one, they seem to be pretty good quality. Also had some digital verniers for $20.
