White Mountain State Park?

Want to do some riding/camping in the White Mountain State Park, and was wonder which campground to stay at. Looking for a nice quiet place to put up a tent...have a camp fire and not be right on top of the people at the next site...any recommendations?

Fellow adventure rider here. My wife and I just purchased Timberland camp ground in the northern part of the white mountains. We are just 12 miles from MT Washington and 4 miles east of the town of Gorham. There are alot of great rides in the area we can hook you up with. We also have a solar heated pool and a small store on site. We want to cater to the bikes so we also have coolers to rent "cheap" and will deliver ice and wood right to your site. Do you need to borrow our grill to cook that awsome steak? no problem!

what do you need a cabin for ? pitch a tent and your good for the weekend. I would rather have hot showers and flush toilets than cabins anyway.

Not to take away from timberland trying to make a business for himself but I've camped at Wild River Campground in the National Forest outside of Gorham...you actually have to go into Maine then back into NH to get there. Nice and quiet...

i don't ride a "tractor" [aka BMW GS]...so bringing sleeping bags and tents etc is a bit of a chore.

I can first give you a bit of reverse info.

DO NOT stay off Tripoli Road (off I-93) or any of the places in the Franconia Notch- those will be like staying home and throwing your tent up on the lawn.
Go north of that area.

I attached a link to the campground directory for White Mountain area of NH, which you have probably already seen.

http://www.ucampnh.com/pdfs/NHCOA-Sec-D-2010.pdf

I live here, so don't stay in CG's here. If you have any one in mind, I might be able to give you some guidance.

Good luck,
John
