Seattle to NYC: Six weeks on a WEE
Trip starts next 8/5 with two one way tickets NYC to Seattle on Continental.....All the gear in a disposable suitcase purchased at a flee market for $10.
The new (7,000 miles) Wee is now registered and insured in my name but I have only seen these pics as yet.
Thanks to Jeff Haar for assisting in this transfer and for holding the bike until I get there. Thanks Tony P for bringing this ABS bike to my attention from StromTroopers. Stay tuned! ![]() |

Thanks Guys, When I get to the bike we will need to install a belly plate, crash bars, dash shelf, radar detector, Zumo mount and wiring, and Autocom sound integrator for radar, Ipod, intercom and potential two way radio.\
Oh, and bungee buddies on the top box since we are down 10% on pack volume from the ST1100 we are used to. Anyone have any experience with the Pelican cases. I assume no troubles drilling for bungee buddies. As it stands not I still need to get packed and tease out all the farkles from the ST1100 to bring to the Wee. |

Well, I succeeded in teasing out all the electronics that I want to take from the ST1100 and bring to the Seattle based Wee.
It is quite a bag of goodies. V1, Zumo, with cradle and ram mount, Autocom sound integrator all the myriad of associated wires a connectors. Now I hear there is a tech session forming around this new Wee. I am really thrilled about that. Looks like a bunch of the Stromtrooper guys are coming to Issaquah, WA on Saturday. Thanks guys... Boxing up my camping gear for shipment to Moscow, ID for after I drop the SO off at the airport for her obligatory return to NY on 9/1. After that will be two more weeks to get my butt home myself. TWO WEEKS to cross over....WOO HOO! __________________ |

G and I just checked into the Hampton Inn at Tukwla, WA after an uneventful flight from Newark, NJ with all the goodies that I plan to install from the ST1100.
Let the Farkling begin tomorrow...after a lounge fest at the pool and jacuzzi here at the hotel. What great weather here in the Seattle area.

Wee across America
Yesterday, we started R/R ing all systems necessary to get the farkles in. Here (L to R) are Sean, Jeff, me, Adam, Don and Georgette took the picture.
Adam Koczarski had just left the scene. Thanks for the visit Adam. The Crash bars, Belly pan, and a few wires for the radar countermeasures, GPS, and Autocom are in already. Took the throttle bodies off to check the attachment point. After the issue that came up on the Guatemala trip (with the DL1000 that was with us ...the TB's kept blowing off there stay after backfiring) I thought a quick look was called for. Besides, it gave me a chance to look for the washer I dropped down in the cavity. More of the same today, and with the possibility of riding out some of the bugs. |

Farkled Baby!
Well, the tech session here at Jeff house is finished and a few of us got a lot done.
![]() ![]() I got GPS power and mount on the left handle bars. Radar counter measuses powered and sitting pretty on the dash shelf. Tank bag straps established, Ipod, intercom, and radar sound loud and clear through the fully functional Autocom integrator. Only fly in the ointment is that the Oxford Heated grip controller shows the "on" LED when the ignition is on but there is no heat level indication and no heat. Could be the Control Unit ??? Anyway, Thanks to all for the help get this Wee set up. |

Well, I consider this to be on the road, but if you mean actual riding...we are shooting for Weds. or Thursday. We are with friends and need to do some visiting, plus depending on what Twisted Throttle says tomorrow when I call about the failed Oxford Heaterz, we my have to wait for a shipment.
Hoping for a shakedown ride maybe tomorrow though. Everyone wants to go see the Blue Angels fly today.

Wee brake for Angels
Jeff decided it would be a good day to take a break from the farklefest:
Don and Adam were a great help and very good Wee Guru's: ...so we went to see the Blue Angels do their thing over the closed section of I-90 yesterday... Fantastic show, just wish I had my earplugs;)...They had to do their low altitude version due to the cloud ceiling hanging. Getting a new control unit from Twisted Throttle overnighted. Woo Hoo! Should be on the road by Weds or Thurs.
