Four covered bridge Commute
I took the long way home from Burlington VT to Stowe Vt. Mission: to cross as many covered bridges I could find and still get home for dinner.
Here they are. Lets see your covered Bridge shots! ![]() ![]() ![]()

McGuire (Elmsville) and Flume covered bridges, Charlotte County New Brunswick Canada. Pictures taken on Sept. 2010. On Dec. 13 of that year, a flood occurred dumping over 7 inches of rain in a 12 hour period on this area. The water levels rose in the rivers pictured here over 16 feet! Both bridges had over a foot water on their deks, but remained in place. The Department of Transportation placed concrete weights on the decks of the bridges to prevent them from floating. The flood caused over 50 million dollars in damage to the local area, including the total loss of over 20 homes.
