It's not so great actually. Really. You wouldn't like it.

(It's snowing up there today. )

Yeah, I went into his shop two weeks ago, bought a hundred bucks worth of tee shirts for the flatlanders and cretin friends, Hayduke never stopped grinning....and it was easy to see why...

Hayduke, whats the name of your shop and where in Salida is it? Was in the area about three weeks ago, ready to go back. Hungry for something at the Country Corner, I love that place. Is the snow too bad to do some dual sporting? Don't mind the snow but the mud gets pretty bad.

the Country Bounty?

My shop is downtown in the Historic District, on F street. "Fat Tees".

Not sure about the snow; this is really wet heavy stuff, so I'd guess it will be muddy for a couple of days. Hopefully it will dry out soon, but I'd suspect the higher elevations will be done for the season.

Keep your opinions to yourself

Some of us are planning rides in the few days remaining before 1st Rifle.

Not street rides, but dirt trail rides.
So there.

I think I went there last fall!

Picture from Oct 3, 2010 taken on a Jeep trail outside of Salida:

Fun times in Colorado. I think I could find a reason anytime of the year to visit.

Today, Tami and I rode down the canyon to Turkey Rock (about 10 miles) to meet Charla, Ben, Blake and Allie. Ben and Blake were riding in the RMTA Trials competition there today.

Me, Allie and Charla decided to go for a little ride. Charla only had her trials bike there so she rode Tami's WR.

Tami stayed back at Turkey Rock to watch; her shoulder was killing her from just riding pavement 10 miles anyway. :(

It was a gorgeous day!

Charla on Tami's bike, with trials helmet.

Allie

Charla took a short cut back so that she could help score this afternoon, and Allie and I continued on. Still some nice fall colors out there!

Then we hit the river road back to Turkey Rock...

The End.
