What about installing these in a R1200RT?

Ok, I have a 2005 R1200RT which is hauling around an extra 275lb of sidecar, and wouldn't mind more low-end grunt at all.
It would be especially usefull when taking dirt/gravel roads and/or when slogging through snow/slush in the wintertime!

I have heard lots of reports from GS pilots, what about putting these into a Hexhead RT?

In looking at the part numbers, I can see that the stock cam sprocket is the same for virtually every Oil/Hexhead from the R850, thru the R1200C, up to the '09 Hexheads.
I also found that in the 05-09 R1200xx Hexheads that the same camshaft is shared by all the models, R/GS/RT/HP2/GSA.

So what is the cause of the different power profiles between the stock GS/GSA bikes and the RT?
And what effect will adding these sprockets to the RT make?

TIA for any feedback!

...man, I'd assume that the sprockets would be a perfect application for a sidehack!

At current exchange rates that makes it $191.36 USD according to www.xe.com.

The US dealer pricing was $225.00 USD or about $246.00 AUD. I had the retail price set here at $250.00.

A group buy is good for me as Andrew expalins a single transaction and there might be a savings on postage too.
Please let me ask, is that $200Aus. for the current batch of cracked and reworked sprockets, or for a set of sprockets with no cracking between the locating pin hole and the center hole?

IF, the $200Aus. is for a set of the reworked (cracked) sprockets; What would the ADVrider price be for a set of sprockets with no cracking issues?

Also, I would be willing to go in on the group buy if Andrew puts it together, how many sets would you need to gather to consider a group price?
(I have a R1150R sitting here as well....)

I just want to be clear on what is being offered.
Thanks!

Zen,

That is Australian dollars.

Normal retail is $250.00 AUD.

The issue with the cracks is a non issue now as I have drilled the locating pin hole and the pin fit is correct now.

I give a lifetime money back guarantee on my product. To date, no returns.

They would be a good fit for the side hack and allow you to achieve what you arte looking for.

I am happy to do a group buy if you guys wish to. As part of this there would be savings on the postage and handling at my end.

Cool sidecar and photos.

Ah, no... I won't be doing a group buy, there just wasn't enough interest. Go with the current offering, that's a good price.

I have just ordered a new batch of sprockets that will be ready in the next few weeks.

I have also revised the price for both the new batch and the redrilled sprockets.

Pricing is as follows.

Redrilled sprockets $150.00 Australian plus $15.00 postage and handling

New batch sprockets $220.00 Australian plus postage and handling.

I offer a full money back guarantee on all product I sell if you are not satisfied with the results.

Lennie;
How would I know if I have a pair of the cracked sprockets installed without removing the retaining bolt. Are you able to see a crack with them installed?
I purchased mine sometime last winter.
I might be able to find the reciept if that helps?

Cheers

Drop,

There is no real way as not all of the two batches I had made cracked.

If you want to pull the bolts and get back to me via email I am only to happy to replace them.
