I'm going in a couple of weeks to pick up an 07 Norge GT for the wife. I've searched the web, does anyone have links to frame sliders or cylinder head protection for the Norge?

All I'm worried about is a 0mph tipover. Every bike my wife has ever ridden, she's dropped it once in a parking lot

Exactly. Proved it myself just last week.

I have "dropped" my Norge 3 times. First when I had it for 2 days and I had my wife on the back. I stopped short and the bike went down on some gravel. My rear saddle bag got some nicks and my ego took a hit. My wife's knee was sore for awhile. I did the same thing solo on the same side (left). No damage. then the bike did one all by it's self. I was idling and warming up the engine and the bike crept forward and the kickstand went under.
All three times the handle bar end took all of the impact and the fairing has a couple of scratches where you can't see them. I do not know how the crash bars would help. |

I've had a relatively low speed low-side with the Norge (roughly 30MPH) and what took the hit was the bag, lower and upper fairings, brake peddle and bar end weight, and clutch lever (yeah, I know, it's on the other side - what can I say
) - heads didn't get a scratch.jdg

You bastards have be seriously Jonesing for a Norge ! Been considering a used Breva 1200 Sport that is for sale here, - if it were the Norge it'd be a Done Deal. I enjoy my Futura, but.....always looking for new/better rides. Test rode the Breva sport - not bad, not nearly as fast as the Aprilia, but hardly slow.
Good thing that Moto International is so far away from me. |

Yeah, the fly and ride probably wouldn't work out for you so well

How about an exchange program. You can come over here and ride my Norge and I will go over there and ride your Futura.
