Do you have the Norge 850 over in Portugal? I would be interested in comparing the two bikes. We can not get that here in the states.

We do not! Only the 1200cc over here. I guess it makes sense, taking in cosideration the weigth of the bike and the target market

What would you be interesed in comparing?

Other than the engine's bore and stroke, it's the same motorcycle.

If I'm not mistaken, the engine is basically an 1100cc top end with a short stroke crank. The same short stroke crank is used in the Bellagio with a 1200cc top end to achieve 940cc.

My thoughts would be about economy verses less power. Sometimes it makes sense to go with the big motor.
The Honda VTX 1300 and 1800 were getting the same or very similar gas mileage.

Now, well, that's way nicer than mine. And not store bought which makes it way cooler! No wonder they call you Joe Cool!

But I got a question--where'd you find these little dealios?

I think they are from a fairing mount from long ago. Sometimes it pays to be a pack-rat. Still need to get a different spacer for the top part that mounts to the wind screen brackets. My initial thought was just to run a ss all thread from wind screen bracket to bracket to mount the gps.
thanks for the kind words on my mount.

Just got back yesterday from a 580 mile round trip Dallas-Tulsa-Dallas on the Norge. Tuesday morning had a little wind from behind and the first tank of fuel gave 51.14mpg while running 70-75 most of the time. I didn't actually calculate any of the other fill ups other than doing the math in my head, but everything appeared to be over 46mpg.

Best I've ever seen on this bike was 54mpg on a bunch of twisty roads in Arkansas, but the average speed on that tank was probably 50-55.

Worst mileage I ever got was last October on a 1600 mile loop through south Texas. Seemed like we fought headwinds of 20-30mph all day every day and were generally riding 80-85mph. Mpg was about 40 most of the time as I recall.

The day I took the N-bike to Rich's for a new seat is also the day I lost my good camera. I was reduced to snapping pic's with my cell phone. I bought a new camera just yesterday so I promise to get some decent pics in sunlight whenever that might happen. It's been raining here a LOT! In the meantime, this is all I got. That's Rich right there in the pic but by gawd my cell phone is a crappy excuse for a camera.

Look at those silver pipes! Man, that IS new! But you need to update your profile--what's this about a Stelvio being your dream bike?

Nice bike! Is that the one that was sitting in Blackfoot? I was eyeing that one up for some time but couldn't convince myself to get rid of the HP2 just yet.

Regards.
