I can't seem to find the second part. However I'm also trying to browse this site using my phone as my internet connection from a crappy hotel in Salina, KS.

Excellent, Awesome, Fantastic, Great...

Thank you for the link and yeah, I'm looking forward to part two!
I'd love to know where they loaded on the bannana boat to Golfito, C.R. (I'm thinking Puntarenas) as I'm sitting here in Quepos by the old Fruit Company pier...

Part two is "Rugged Road to Cape Horn." It's available here: http://www.jfredmacdonald.com/aifg/p...d2capehorn.htm

It probably took me a minute.

Dang. That was short. I guess you can buy a longer version here: http://www.historicvideoarchives.com/misc.htm

Maybe this would be a good idea to buy and watch at a rallye. Or if anybody wants to get me an early christmas present...

That archive site says part 2 is 30 minutes... Is that the full length?

I talked to the guy and he mails you a DVD. I'm not so much setup to do that right now as I'm traveling

I've been thinking about this movie.

When I was a kid, in 1972, we drove from Wisconsin to Panama. My mom was only 27. My dad was 29. I was 7, my brother was 6, and my sister was 3. We brought along two of my dad's brothers, "for protection," except I'm pretty sure their motivation was to get laid in each country- one uncle was 18 and had already joined the Marines, and the other uncle was 22 and just out of the Navy. We picked up my grandfather in Mexico City. He was 50- only a few years older than I am, now- and he was our guide, since he was a traveling salesman all through Central America, and knew the way.

Vehicle: all-wheel-drive International Travelall pulling a 20 foot trailer.

I've been trying to find photos, but so far, no luck. I'll post em up as soon as I can.
