Question

My auxlights are dead..... again.... I've standard bulbs and they don't seem to like the vibration on the 12adv crashbars.....
So I'm looking for a replacement and those nice leds seem to be a good one.

Sanjoh, what would be the price for a set shipped in Europe ?
I understood it's now the 44 model. this one comes with the 3 dimming setup, correct ?
Do you know if the mount will fit on the bmw 1200 adv crashbars ?

tia,
/thierry

Waterproof potentiometer?

So I've been looking at the cheep Chinese PWM controllers for these lights, and maybe grip heater control. Anybody have a recommendation for a waterproof or water resistant potentiomenter to use with them?

TIA,

Glenn

I have been using sanjoh's flood lights (24W) for 7 months now and I couldn't be happier. They are extremely bright and whenever I ride people ask me about them. I got the new 44's as well as soon as they came out but lazy me still did not install them. They are still sitting in their box. I'll do it one of these days...
I had some problems during the first couple rides with them, they were going off when I lay the bike down. I talked to sanjoh and he told me to check the connections. I did and since then no problem what so ever.
Great product and I am dying to put on the new 44's.

I've had my lights now since the end of July and a few thousand miles. The lights have worked fine with one exception. For awhile, they were staying on and flickering when the ignition was off. With a relay wired in, that shouldn't happen. I pulled the fuse, then a week later tried them and nothing worked. Then a few days later, I put the fuse back in and they worked, but again flickered when the ignition was off and the switch was off.

It wasn't the light's fault. They are fine. It was me. I put the relay in a location where it would pick up water, and the water would not drain away. When I took things off this weekend, it was pretty evident what had happened. I installed a new relay and the lights work again as advertised. I'm a happy camper!

I also broke one of the glass lenses when cleaning it. I believe it was David that I talked to, who mailed me a new one very quickly. Their customer service is excellent.

I have no reason from my personal experience, not to highly recommend these lights to others.

Chris

Here's the setup on my KLX300r. I may remake the light bracket but it held up for a recent 1200 mile DS ride through FL ,AL , GA and back to FL so who knows.

Running a manual PWM and it seems to work pretty well. Added in one of the snap in LEDs so that I have a good idea as to how bright the M30 is. Don't want to blind oncoming traffic and all that..

Has anyone mentioned that these things are BRIGHT!!!??

Mounts for R1200GS

Hi,
I have just ordered a flood, spot, controller and connectors. This act of faith is based on this forum. Once they arrive, mounts will become a pressing issue. So the question is: Where to get mounts that don't cost more than the lights. I don't want to be drilling holes in my bike. I like the fork mounted and perhaps caliper mounted lights to try and preserve turn signal visibility. But that part is not sacred to me. Most of my riding is on road. I do not have many illusions of riding around the world or fording any large rivers.I am mostly interested in keeping an eye on north Georgia deer and keeping my possum scrapper clear. Rain or shine. I have a knack for night rain riding.
Thanks, Ken

There are multiple ways to set up these light but the diagram below illustrates one of the safest ways to do so.
