I have two but the brackets on both have fractured due to the thin stainless and the heavy weight. Have others experienced this? One has fractured all the way through and the other has probably a week left.

I know somewhere in the thread somebody warned about this, now I can confirm it's a reality.

Andy

Edit: I really should have looked just one page ago. Damn more bloody money.

I sure liked the lights when they worked. I have had my 3 way lights for six months and now one of them has quit working. The seller said the lights I purchased have been discontinued and I would need to purchase new lights which he would give me a $30.00 discount on. Also he wanted me to return the lights I already paid for and pay for the new ones before he would send them, why I don't know. Doesn't seem like very good customer service to me.

So... I paid for the first set of lights, would return them and pay for a second set that might be discontinued when they no longer work.

He didn't answer my last e-mail asking for a replacemnt light for the one failed. I'd suggest you look for and purchase lights from a different source.

MMM have had the same problem light failed, had already sent it back when the silly offer was given, now I have no light and it only worked for 10 hours use had moisture inside. Not good and refuses to answer my e-mails. Not a god way to run a business.

Shame coz it was ok when it worked. Found the same on fleabay for 20. but only in the spot version.

The dimmer can also be found on said auction site, just needs a few mods to do the same and a 5th of the price

Aanyone tried to open these things up? One of them has smudged reflectors which makes it dimmer than the other. If I could crack it open it would be good as new. Don't know how the reflectors got dirty??

I was told to and have used a strap wrench to open them up.

Mine were loose enough to unscrew when new ,guess after using for awhile they would be more difficult with grit and such working into the threads. A strap wrench sounds like the deal our try one of the rubber lid grippers. Good luck.

Well, after undoing the three screws and letting it hang for the day, the reflectors are no longer smudged. Must have been moisture trapped in there and just needed to air out. The reflectors are nice and shiny again

Glad to hear that they are working out for you. Let me know if you need anything else.

Yes i was going to grab the H/D mounts but i think as the way i have mounted them i shall be ok , they hang upside down .. i have placed rubber washers under them , so i will see how i go .. i wired them in with a relay and switched of my highbeam .. very simple .. very very bright .... looking forward to using them , in a few months when my Knee heals

Hey Sean-O,

I recommend mounting the lights as rigidly as possible. I have about 6500km on mine. It is mounted to a steel mount that I made and it is still working perfectly. Likewise I know others with 30000km plus on theirs (mixed riding) and they are mounted in a similar fashion.

Link to pics of my mount.
