I like the high beam relay setup, no additional switches on the bars, however you are losing out on the "being seen" advantage of the LEDs. You should consider one of the remote dimmers, same high beam full on function with the capability to dim the light for "normal" operation for those drivers that may not see you.

I can't count how many times the lights have gotten me seen.

Yes your lights with that fancy dimmer is the "cats"----as Barney Fife used to say to Thelma Lou.

I wish I had it this morning on my ride to work-----------it was barely daylight and my low beam blew out. I couldn't turn on my high beam without blinding people----------I was scared to death riding the 6 miles to work with no headlight and minimal daylight.

The dimmer you have come up with is a true stroke of genius !!!

Here is a simple solution to that problem.

Form those that do not want to fuss w/ having to adjust the LED dimmer's rheostat or deal w/ a silly battery operated remote to switch back and forth from hi beam to low beam and prefer simply using the OEM handlebar Hi/Low switch here is a simple solution:

WOW, you have no idea how our dimmer works, please check your sources before posting this misinformation.

The fob is used to adjust light output. You DO NOT need the fob to activate full power, or switch between modes, it is accomplished with a signal from the stock high beam or a 12v source of your choosing.

Our dimmer has a memory so once the output level is set, it usually doesn't get adjusted unless you are showing off the lights

Our testing has shown that a dimmer with a knob has a higher likely hood of failure when exposed to conditions that can reasonably be expected on a dualsport

Sorry for the mis-information. I did not have the specs on your key fob dimmer.

The diagram above was meant to work w/ any LED dimmer available.

Has anyone switched from 44's to 60's? I am wondering about a real world comparison, I'd like a just a little more distance than my 44's give when I am really rolling along the straightaways, only because I want more reaction time to compensate for 45 years of riding, not because I am dissatisfied with my 44's. Close to medium distance is really lit up well. The 44's would end up on something else I own.

I don't think that the HB switch normally went to ground on any bike I have owned, so another small wiring change, or tie a relay onto the HB wire and use the relay to switch violet to ground. Otherwise a very helpful diagram for those who are lucky enough to not have to corral electrons 40 hrs a week. Well done.

Ground shown for illustration only, the violet lead goes to +12v on the high beam.

How do you want to control the lights? On/off switch, on with high beam only or ?

Just a switch on/off would do, but better if hooked into the switched power.
