Sanjoh, I have the M60's on my WR250R (love them), and now thinking I need some Aux lights on my R1150GS. Mostly for on-street visibility, but also want to light up small windy country roads in the night times. What lights do you recommend for that? Also do those M64's work off the dimmer the same as the M60's, and is the mount similar?

Unfortunately the mount extensions were just too weak to hold the lamps, and the vibrations weekend the metal to the point of failure. This time around, I've built some heavy duty mounts that will not fail. And of course, because I'm cheap, I'm using products from the local hardware store. pics coming soon

A pair of M30s or an M30 and a M44 for a bit more beam width. Do you have a place in mind to mount them?

The M64s work fine with our dimmers. The mount is much thicker as the lights are quite a bit heavier than our round lights.

Thinking of fabricating a light bar mount for under the "Beak". Nothing fancy just a some aluminium bar stock I have laying around.

Will do.

Order just sent - went with the Model 60's with the dimmer after all. Combo works great on my WR250, might as well keep with the same ones on the GS.

Received my fairing and M60 yesterday, John. I'm getting it wired and mounted now. Quality of the fairing gel coat is great, thanks for good service.

(Could'a been cheaper tho, you don't _really_ need to make a profit do ya. )

Is that a remote dimmer, or rotary dimmer? I'll be ordering a pair of m64's to add to my model 60's. The m64's will be replacing my model 30's. Would be interested in testing the new dimmer, since the one I have can't handle 4x 2.4 amps.

Also - what is the weight of the M64 versus the model 30 format?

And, if you order a set of the m64's wit ha dimmer, do they come "plug and play"?

I've suddenly got an issue with my rotary dimmer. I'm fine on low-beam, but when I hit the high-beam switch the LED lights go out.

Any suggestions?

M64s are heavy, don't have the weight handy, will post up tomorrow. Yes on the plug n play, will need an approximate length lead you will need as the light come with a 10" lead standard.

Check connections first. Do the lights go to full power when rotary knob is put on full ouput?

Yes, on low-beam they'll go from full brightness to nothing, depending on how the knob is turned. They've worked perfectly until this weekend.

I haven't had a chance to test the wire I've got spliced into high-beam circuit, which in turn is connected to the purple wire on the dimmer. I'm a little puzzled as to why they'd go out completely once the high-beam circuit was activated.
