Correct dates?

Howdy there Chris -

The riding plans sound fun. Just checked a calendar and the 11th/12th align with a Sunday/Monday. Are you out for play on Saturday/Sunday or Sunday/Monday?

I was thinking about heading out Saturday and maybe some Sunday.

Let me know what dates you were planning on!

Cheers

Hey SpeedySteve,

That's correct. Sunday and Monday (Took the day off). Unfortunately I'm on planes all day Saturday.

My darling wife will be in San Diego at an all-you-can-eat wheat grass camp so we can stay up late and use foul language.

The bar (La Gitana: http://www.yelp.com/biz/la-gitana-cantina-arivaca) will be open as long as we are there. Maybe they have to close at 2am.

Basically it will be the same venue as the last three years with a BBQ for those who sign up and show up and sourdough pancakes for those who remain. If you are tied to town come up for the day.

An old thread for more info.: http://www.klr650.net/forums/showthread.php?t=107461

If you want to reconnoiter, This Saturday (1st) 11:30-3:30, Heather Hardy and the Lil' Mama Band is playing. They rock:

Hey guys, I've been up to chiva falls twice in the last two weeks. Great water flow, great scenery.

Also learned that my dr350 can crawl over most of three feathers without much work. Sweet.

This is a very useful set of maps. Thank you for that. I bought the "Official" set from USFS and I can barely read them even with reading glasses. I'd looked for on line sets (quite awhile ago), but hadn't found them, so either I did a lousy search or they are a newer addition.

Once you are out there it's really a maze and difficult to work with a big map. With these on-line versions I can cut out just the places I want to go, mark them up and take notes when I'm there.

I believe there is an "Overlay" of these roads on the Dualsport Maps site, but then, again, you have the whole thing on a itty-bitty gps.

There is a a lot going on with open source mapping, GPS's and Smartphone navigation. Is there a dedicated thread here about that?

Thanks again.

Your welcome.

This solo work out was just right for preparing for the up coming Rockies season. Holy Week is very busy but, I could do it again during the weekdays after Easter Sunday.
