Talk like that will give me a big head. There is a little more information on our Bonneville trip here: http://adventuresofjessieanderic.wor...nneville-2009/ and http://autobahn-skunkwerks.com/aswp1/.

I visited Chris at SJ BMW on a random weekday when I just happened to be in Cali. He was very encouraging and showed me the cafe bike in progress. Unfortunatly, we aren't going to make it to the salt this year, but we will again.

I totally forgot that I had these photos. Both are from Bob's collection over at Bob's BMW.

Notice the chain on this one:

So, I bought my G/S from a local guy who has a monster R90 G/S that he said was built in CA (by San Jose I think) as a replica of the Paris Dakar winner... he said this was one of a handful built and it did have a HUGE alu gas tank on it and twin shocks...

Anyone know anything about this bike?

That is a stunningly beautiful motorcycle-- I'd trade any two or three of the nicest ones posted for that.

At the low speeds that this bike will see, that big rear disk should slow it down real good!

Yup, too expensive for production, of course most companies come out with prototype/concept bikes/cars that are never intended to be mass produced, but some of their features/designs are integrated into something they do make.
