Gawd I love Alabama

Hadn’t really planned on this ride but probably couldn’t have planned it better if I had. After checking a property slated for demolition in Gadsden I thought, aw hell let’s take the long way home.

Heading south out of town I found myself on Gilbert Ferry Rd. For some reason this old 1852 family burial plot got my juices flowing for adventure and it hit me.

The ol’girl had tasted the Forest Service Roads around Tellico Plains a couple weeks ago but I hadn’t treated her to the Skyway yet. So we cruised on down through Talladega picking up the Skyway just below Waldo Bridge on 77. Needless to say I’m not what you’d call the balls out rider type and about a mile in I began to question the wisdom of my zeal and realized this would be a real test of my meddle. I immediately learned this big ol’girl likes it a little rough and insist on you getting up on the pegs.

Came out on 148 unscathed still hankering for more dirt so we headed back on 142 to Sycamore.

WTF....but a damn good question

But Why Mom-me Daddy Die?

Looks pretty dry up there. Back in da 'ham, a couple of t-showers just raised the humidity.

I waited all winter for this summer, and there's a reason I don't live in Minnesota!
You must be the change you wish to see in this world.
