My scoot ride reports

Hellou!

I did a journey with my Zoomer 50 cc moped. Tried to make a ride report, but....maybe motorcyclists don´t understand scoots?
And...I think it better suitable here.

I have about 250 pics and about 40 minutes of film. 13 days of riding and 4200 kms. It will take few days to share day by day with comments,(have to found english words) so......stop me if you get bored

The mopedtour in 42kms/hour went longer than it was thought from beginning. Zoomer and I experienced hours of boring views of wood, rain, cold and long long straights of roads. But, we also éxperience beautifuk views, varm, sunny days, and amzing hills up and down. Some days we road a lot and beecause circumstances some day almost nothing......

Day 1
Boden to Strömsund

Just a change that first day ended in Strömsund. Time went out. Last time I rode this way was on Honda Varadero. Started after my workday. Now I´m riding Zoomer and speed is slow.....42,7 topspeed. I left home about half past 4 in the morning and have now been ride 500 kms.
Zoomer is spinning nicely and after a while I get used and very calm with the speed....I like it!
Day has been a little bit cold. Just before Strömsund there was a heavy rain.


Zoomer looks very heavy loaded. Still, the chassi is stabel as it can bee and the Z do not make any protests.
Suspension sucks!!

First night at Strömsund camping. A long day yo day, 500 kms. Fix little food, take a walk in the area. Before my eyes forces shut, my thoughts goes to thinking of the first days impressions and what I and Z have to experience in common days.

Day 2

Strömsund to Skei

500 kms also today. Day started in cold weather but varm and sunny came when I passe the Norwegian border. Trouble to find ways trough Trondheim and a way to Orkanger without riding on motorways.
Now, only 100-150kms to Trollstigen, I´ll try to hit Geiranger early, put up the tent and just take it easy.
But, other hand....I´ve found on the map on old gravelroad wich I heard is a great road



Fill up at Åre. The Z don´t fill upp often.
The gastank and 5 litres can takes me almost 500 kms. Cheap travelling!






Navigator shows med topspeed 42,7 kms/h This Z goes 1 kms faster than
my last Z. Gives me a 10 km more each day. WOW!







Seems that I´m hitting the mountainsarea






Storlien, last change to buy some stuff from sweden.

Long straights. It´s okey, the views are allright






Hard to avoid motorways between Trondheim and Orkanger. Search and found some small roads





At last, little bit of what Norway is knowed for, some twisted roads

Day 3
Skei-Geiranger

Detour today. Gravelroad Aursjövägen founded. Amazing road with amazing views.
Passing Trollstigen fastly. Was woriied how Z will take the uphills there. No problems, instead I felt little bit guilt at hills earlier on the day, when Z goes uphill looooong runs with full throttle.
Ended up the day at Geiranger camping and then spent time with walk and look when the tourists wander around.

The Trollstigen is indeed a great road. I regret being in a car and not a scooter when going over it.

My wife is afraid of heights. First time she went up after Trollstigen(as a passanger) she cried. Two days later I cried on the trip, spending at Ikea four hours...and she didn´t shop anything

Best part of the road:

This tunnel gave me something to think about. Z has poor mopedlights and I can´t either turn the lights where I´m going. I rode in to the dark. Have to feel with my foot which way the tunnel was going. I´m sure it was going incircle?!?? ....I think :o)

Roads north of Langfjord is small and fun to ride









Many kilometers, one of the tuffest rises for Z. It felt never ending and
I felt bad for Z :o(

around the bay to get there.
