Zoomer has a good generatorpower(210w) for a moped. Used also gripheaters fairly frequency on my trip(2x15w).....no problems.

I understand that nowadays there are not any ferrys between Norway and Scottland But, saw a Norwegian motorcycleforum and a link where they had started a protestlist for that. So....who knows :o)

I have such fond memories of that bridge in konsberg, we stay just outside town and my family had a small store in the old part of town right in the square.

Winter is comming....and it´s comming fast. What to do?!?
It felt great to write this ridereport. Why? Learning by doing, I´m at same time learning english :o) I have few ridereports on 125 Innovas, 125 Piaggio and one with another Zoomer. Is it okey if I change the headline "Zoomer/Ruckus ride report" to "My scoot ride reports"....and try to ridereport theme too on this threath?

Great trip. Thanks for sharing.
PS. I've ridden (motorcycles not mopeds) in Scotland. It rains there two or three time a day and two or three days at time no matter where you're at.

With Honda ANF 125 to North Cape
My first trip with a scoot. Whats better than to North Cape.
http://maps.google.se/maps/ms?hl=sv&...1244f2698b1fa1 Honda ANF 125 ![]() Basic conditions was not the best. Some detours with destination North Cape, overloaded Innova 125 and on that…only 3,7 litre fueltank. Fueltank under the seat so every filling up needs to take of the luggage. Another thing, the topspeed is varying between 60 and 110 kph, depending which direction the wind is blowing from. Boden to Rovaniemi, the land of Santa Claus in Finland At home establish the fact that the Innova seems catastropely overloaded. Haven´t even test the bike with all this luggage and don´t know if bike is rideble. Well, saying bye to Kajsa and at same time tell her that maybe will turne back after few minutes. Looks heavy with sleeping, kitchen and etc etc etc with me ![]() On road and the Innova feels snaky at low speeds. Higher speed and chassi is much much better. Not reaching many kilometers and meet up heavy rain. Still keep speeding about 80 kph and calculate to get to Haparanda and finnish border for gas and do some exchange of money. Just before Haparanda Innova stops, out of gas! At the same time the Innova dies, the rain stops. Perfect! Passing finnish border at Haparanda and ride without stop to Rovaniemi, cofebrake just before the city. 10 kms north of Rovaniemi a traditionell stop at land of Santa Claus, where the santa seems to have holiday. Noticing at least that as usual the japaneese tourists are there. North of Rovaniemi, land of Santa Claus ![]() Newest building there, never seen it before. ![]() Rovaniemi to Saariselkä Leaving Santa and ride north. Innova keeps 80kph without strain. Enjoying now the beautiful weather and that Innova keeps 80 kph easily in the tailwind. Next muststop is at Saariselkä, but place is closing down for the day and the tourists are just leaving. Top of the Saariselkä, tourists have leaved... ![]() ![]() ....to be continued

Good to see monkey wakes up :o)
....continue Saariselkä to Karasjokk Passing small citys and villages. Tankstop at Inari, the last one in Finland. North of Inari I turne on the road to Karasjokk and North Cape. Weather is fine and perfect for tenting, but just before heading Karasjokk, it turnes to rain. Rent a cottage for 250 NOK. 700 kms first day, tailwind and Innova has not consume much gas. At evening a Norwegian motocyclist enter the camping. He´s old, very old. His hearing is not so good so I have to repeat often my words. Well, few beers with him and later a walk in the area before bed. Cottage at Karasjokk camping ![]() Karasjokk to North Cape Morning and wake-up. Nice weather and the wind is on my side, tailwind against north. Encouraged by the weather I make enthuasiasticly morningcoffe, take a short walk and then pack all luggage in no time. Stop at the touristtrapp Oldsfjord. Busses with tourists there, some of theme study curiously my overloded Innova. Probably they think it´s a moped got lost. Olderfjord ![]() Now, on the road North Cape. Brake at lay-by two. Place is perfect for looking and hearing bikes coming from both directions. Tunnel under the sea, 200 metres down. Downhill is okej, but uphill Innova have to struggle. Last metres bike has widh full throttle only 40 kph on speedo. Lay-by number two ![]() Tunnel under the sea ![]() Charge for the tunnel is 68 NOK, one way and I have to go back same way. When asking the cost, the guy tells me just 68 NOK, even for the moped. I pay him and do not argue with him that the Innova is not a moped. Charge for tunnel ![]() Following the road to North Cape and enjoying the beautifull views. Stop at old fishfacktory. Seem it before, but at the moment reindeers have invaded the facktory. Looks little bit strange, they stay on the garden and on the verandah and stare on me. Stare as I´m a not invited guest on the reindeerparty. Party ![]() Heading northcape 195 NOK to the cape ![]() Parkingplace at the cape, not many motorcyclists there. Guess most of the visitirs visit the cape at afternoon and then overnight somewhere near. ![]() Beautiful weather wich in minutes can turne to bad weather ![]() The point of the cape ![]() Now, heading back home ......to bee continued

North Cape to Langfjordbottn
Been here before, so half an hour is enough. Leave the cape and ride slow while enjoying the scenery around me. Upphill and out of fuel. Push the bike to first parkingslot. Need to do that because, when filling up needs to take of all luggage and the luggage are then spread all over the place. Roads are not so wide there. On my way back, I do a detour to the northest fishingvillage, Skarsvåg. Turn also to Honningsvåg where studying all big boats at the harbour. Turned back, cape just behind me ![]() Enjoying the scenery at cape ![]() Weather change quick here. Sometimes from beautiful sunny weather with blue sky, in seconds to awful weather. Now it goes to little rain and it windy. The wind is also from wrong direction. I´m going southwest and when heading E6, it should be some trouble to keep the speed on Innova. Turning out to E6 and Innova struggle aginst the wind. Speed goes sometimes down to 50 kph on small upphills. Not eaven at downhills I get with full throttle 80kph on speedo. At Alta is my opportunity to turn south, shortest way home. Instead I carry on to west and to Skibottn. I forgott that is midsummer day. At Alta Innova filled up only from the can. Don´t know how norwegians celebrate midsummer, maybe everything just opens late next day. Riding 100 kms and I´m now worried. If I stop now at a camping there will be no fuel in Innova for riding next morning. At Langfjordbottn, just before Altafjordscamping, there are a shop and they sell gas. It´s open and both Innova and the can filles up before turn in to the camping. Rain, cold and it makes easy to decide for a cottage. Couple of hours and weather has turned to much better. Chat with some cottageneighbours, motorcyclists from holland. Spend the rest of the evening at the cottagebalcony with a beer in my hand and study when the norwegians celebrate midsummer. As finnish people they seems to spent the evening around a bonfire. My cottage ![]() Midsummer and norwegians celebrate with a bonfire ![]() ....to bee continued

Langfjordbottn to Boden
Morning and nice sunny weather. In the cottage its hot, very hot. Have turned the heater on at evening and probably my fluidbalance is not wht it should be, I´m feeling feverish. Even the chocolade on the table is now buoyant. Make morningcoffe and sit on the cottagebalcony a long time and enjoy the silence and the view over the fjord. Few kilometers ride and the weather turns again, rainy, cloudy and cold. Sometimes between the clouds and rain sun shows up. I stop then and then and warm up in the sun. Full tank at Skibottn and turn on the road to Kilpisjärvi. Stop at Kilpisjärvi to check out where the boats goes to famous treriksröset. Treriksröset is a point where three countries meets up, Sweden, Norway and Finland. Nothing to see, where boats goes to treriksröset is just some old worn landing-stage. South and Karesuando for little fast food. Have planed to do one more overnight. It´s only 400kms home and the clock is now middleday. The wind is also in my back, so deciding to ride home whole way this day is easy. Uphill sometimes long and hard. ![]() Fill up, have stoped to count how many times.... ![]() Warming when sun comes. Kilpisjärviroad ![]() The dock to Treriksröset. Thought it´s more than that?!? ![]() Just before road E10 on Kirunaroad, out of fuel. On swedish bad roads now, all bumps on the road have made the can fall of from the bike. Luckely it have draged after with a byngystrap. It must have happen just before, because the can has a hole and it´s still almost full. Car stops and ask if I have some kind of problem. All luggage scrattered on the road had made him to believe there was a big breakdown. At Gällivare, fill up the tank, also for the secure few litres in the now taped plastic can. Decide to give Innova a ride, full thorottle and head down whole way home. Wind is in right direction, but the luggage takes wind and I get topspeed about 100kph. Head down, my neck and wrists are in a strange position, so I have to stretch out now and then when riding. Without stop to Jokkmokk and filling up gas again. After Jokkmokk, in a uphill, a norwegian caravan passes me. I get a good slipstreaming on him and I get out now 110 kph from the Innova. Head down and slipstreaming after the norwegian caravan almost whole way to Boden, where I get my last out of fuel. Fill up the last litres from the broken can. At home. What a bike Innova is! Never thought that making 2200kms in three days so easy. Admittedly ride was from 6 am to 8 pm, but this is the way I usually like it. Last day ride was over 800kms and had easily keep on if I hadn´t get home this day. Prepare fo keeping 70-80 kph, the ride was enjoying. The headwind sometimes made Innova not be able to keep speed is just fun. Gasnotes on this trip is not much to talk about. 3,7 litres gives over 160 kms when riding speeds around 80kph and no headwind. Bikes function was good and I came up in my mind that it could broke down. North Cape sticker of course
