There was a connector someone recommended for DS wiring but I can't find the thread now. Anyone recall?

For hi current apps (like hi wattage headlights) I recommend Sermos connectors, and or "dans" connectors as a varient is called here in town. Get them at an RC hobby shop. They'll take a ton of current, are quick and idiot proof to connect, and seem very durable and well constructed. And are very small.

The Sermos (Anderson Power Pole outside the RC clique) connectors are the mutt's nuts, but bulky.
Most Japanese bikes use "Hitachi-style" multi-pin connectors, which aren't anything special, but they do work, and don't absolutely require a special inserter-extractor like the DIN plugs on Beemers. I got a nine-pin to fit the KLR harness from some outfit in Knoxville that sells Hitachi-style in various configs on the Web. |

Deutsch manufacture the best electrical connectors money can buy. You should be able to find their products at a local electrical wholesaler. You will not find their stuff at Pep Boys.
