Ok, replay....

With the copious amount of sunshine we are experiencing today......

Who is up for a "spirited" ride over the pass tonight??

Enough rubbing in the whole "spirited ride" thing! You KNOW my sturdy German mistress is in parts n pieces and can't be bothered to move an inch until she gets her shiny new throttle cables. She has also requested adult supervision for installation of said cables.

BTW: Thanks to AKMud Outfitters. I ended up with tonight off so we are out the door at zero-dark thirty for HOB, Gold Creek, and parts in between!

Kids are stoked! Can't wait.

All riding is on hold until my Cheese-head guests depart next Monday.

BTW2: I'll be "commuting" daily to Los Anchortown as of Monday. Gotta be at the Dungeon by NLT 0800 every day. What time do you roll out in the AM? Boss says I can either drive the company car or ride.

Jim

If you take the company car I don't want to see you go by here with it lite up because you are running late.

I liftoff from home base at 0600 every day which puts me at my company car in Eklutna at 0630. You are welcome to jump in, but you might be a tad early at the dungeon.

Just got done riding thru Hatchers. Not a single mud puddle! The road was in great shape. Passed 2 cars and 1 KLR. Quiet traffic wise. Went from 62 down to 40 degrees at the summit. I'm up for another ride through this weekend!

Who ME? NEVER! Always the law abiding citizen...yup, um hmm. If anything, I'm the guy in the right lane doing 2 over for fear of a butt chewing by the boss.

I'm gonna have to check it out this weekend. Is it paved or off-road? Shouldn't be a problem for an F800GS on trail tires, right?

I was thinking of throwing the barbecue on the back of the GS for a cookout at the top tomorrow night about 5ish. Anybody interested? Bring burgers or dogs.

Sounds good BMR .

I went over the top with the whole gang (wife/kiddos) today and it was in great shape. Might want to avoid a daytime trip tomorrow though, they set up for some "Hatcher Pass marathon" thingy and had mile markers from the Willow side all the way to Independence mine (finish line). Not sure what time they plan on wrapping things up, but it could be a circus up there.

We're in. 5ish sounds good. I creeped all over their queer runner's website, and they plan to launch the slowbies at 7:30am and the fasters at 9:00am. They're expecting it to wrap up around 3:00pm by my deduction. We'll bring about a dozen hot dogs, sans buns.
