"LEGIT" Pine Barren T-O-R
Well since no one else wants to be the first, I’ll do it.
The new “Legit” Pine Barren T-O-R Since we already have over 50 Pine Barren tags and over 1100 tags between the other TOR games, a repeat tag here and there WILL be accepted… as long as it’s truly different scenery… Example #1 the original may have been placed mid-summer and dusty, the re-tag could be mid-winter covered in snow. Example #2 the original tag was of Apple Pie Hill fire tower, the re-tag could be from the top of the tower looking down at the parking lot. Let’s be gentlemen and keep this LEGIT and legal and spectator safe… If you get stuck while trying to get a tag in the mud DON’T SHOW pictures of it. Keep it simple and keep it LEGAL that’s all I ask. |

First Tag
FIRST TAG
From the road you won’t see much ![]() Back side, bike is on the road ![]() Different angle, hard to see but there are multiple rooms ![]() This is just off Butler, found it while hunting for a different tag; it still amazes me how many abandoned foundations there are in the pines I don't actually know what it is, but I may be able to answer when... From the old time maps I've found it was there in 1931, and still there in 1940, but the 1956 maps shows it overgrown by trees Enjoy Dirtmongrel screwed with this post 08-11-2010 at 08:45 AM |

Wow, just read the old tag post and what a shame that something so fun and unique has to turn into drama. The problem with people now days is no one can mind their own business and everyone thinks they are right. We all just need to go out there, ride, dont cause damage and problems and hope that the enviros dont ruin it for us one day. I want to thank all the clubs for all their hard work in setting up riding oppurtunities for us. Till the day another thing (motorcycles) become illegal in this great corrupt state of us, I'll just keep riding. When it does become illegal, I guess I'll just have to be an outlaw. LOL

got it
right off of butler place road, down near city line road end of it. been by there atleast a hundred times over the last 20 years and never noticed it before. thanx for opening my eyes
little bit of history to this location, step dad says there was a few one room cabins there, and he actually stayed in one for deer week once, and there was an "old timer" that actually lived there year round with a big pack of dogs. not sure of when,,, could only get an answer of "a long ass time ago" ![]()

new tag
yea, i know pics arent that great, working on picking up a camera, so phone will have to do for now.
for the clue, think 70 and 34, theres tons of these out in the pines, but i dont know of to many this close to the road, which is where bike is parked, so easily viewable cant make it out in the pic, but there is a wood duck box in the tree over looking the meadow (if you can call it that) ![]() better view of the meadow ![]() and watch out for the low bridge

lol, no clue on this one, might need a simple hint in the right direction,
for those who have not figured out/found prior tag, theres a turn off of route 70 at the 34 mile marker west bound side, turn in then stay right at 1st fork,,,not sure where road goes to, but it goes a little ways and just gets tighter, still a nice little quick ride |

Simple hint, don’t know if I can do that?
How about a long drawn out explanation that never really answers your question ![]() Umm I hear there’s a good place for wings up the street, but I’ve never tried. Oh, it’s in Wharton… that should narrow it down
