Yeah, riding in the barrens this time of year can be a little sketchy. Hunting is the main reason, but also because the deer are in the rut. They tend to walk right into the road on the sent of a doe and aren't as cautious of cars. The hunters can also scare them out into the road as well . Not to mention the deer are already on they're toes about things spooking them because of all this added activity. I have almost hit a deer every November for the past three years, not including the two with my old truck. Be careful out there guys.

That being said, I might take a stab at this tomorrow. We'll see.

Riding back there, the pine barrens, while sometimes dangerous, can also be very helpful. There was some sort of accident this morning on Rt 70. They closed off the 5 miles between where Rt 530 goes off by Whitesbogs, and the Rt 539 intersection at, Rt 70...where Doc's favorite Wawa is.

Luckily, since I knew the back "roads", I was able to circumvent the traffic and get back on Rt 70 past the closure..and still make it to work on time. Lucky I took the truck too, and not the car today.

But Bob, burying tags in the woods so people can't find them isn't really the object of the game, is it? It's fun to have a puzzle at first, and if the tag isn't found in a day or two, additional clues help move the game along. That's the goal right? To get people away from their computers, work, etc., and give them an excuse to ride to something interesting.

Maybe we have to take that dirt bike away from you so that the game can move at a decent pace?

Doc, you are 100% correct.
I really did not think this tag was too deep, the clues were dead on and I even sent some replies to PM'S with the exact location. I do however understand many riders are busy with holiday needs and family responsibilities.

This tag drop has hurt me the most, as I look daily hoping to find something else to chase.
Please dont take my dirt bike away, unless you have another newer one for me.

off lacy but it took 4 tries to find a way thru. ended up going thru nj sand and gravel pit and getting chassed by an articulating loader

then the fun started.
