Erricz, don't be scared you can grab this on a street bike. The large water hole with a log has a go around. The others have plenty of space on each side.

How dare you infer that my GS is just a Starbux burner!!!!

I love riding through the puddles on the GS ever since I put on a Final drive breather hose. Maybe I can snag this after lunch and the wife gets home, it's lovey out right now.

OK, I think I know where its at but the road in confuses me... VTwinP, did you travel about 5miles south east coming in, or is there an easier way in.... it looks like your in the back corner, furthest from the "main entrance" the paved one?

Dirtmongrel, I left the pavement off a county rd and went less than 3 miles to this location. It is on the back corner
Take the "long" way to the Ridge

Failed Attempt

I tried but I came up short... It was cold and I wanted heated gear, so I took the Wee-Strom. Almost got stuck a few times, the slimy mud and almost frozen puddles stopped me. I finally gave up, I was probably only another 200 yards away

Tomorrow will be warmer so I'll try on a different bike

Hey VTwinP, do you use an electric jacket or anything on your DRZ? I think there should be enough juice to power it and not kill the battery?

Well you get the A+ for making the try, and you were very close, no electric gear on the DRZ. I only own electric gloves and use them on the street bikes only. I wish I had more heated gear, and I have no idea if the DRZ can handle it. We will have to ask around.

New Tag

I love the old ruins, the old ghost towns, the history

unfortunately, my new tag is shrouded in controversy

some say it was an old sanitarium
some say it was a bottling companies packing house
others say it was a "club house" from a never built golf course
maybe it was a hunting club
maybe a squatter lived here

maybe someone else can figure it out

I can say that its next to an American favorite

THE TAG SHOT

my bike never moved, the first pic of the entrance steps is the tag shot

If you look real close there is an extra hint in the last two pics, sorry my phone cam doesn't have zoom
