I was told to post this question here as most of the folks from Spokane hit this thread a lot. I just finished rebuilding my 1982 XL250R and got my plate for it today. I'm looking for some dirt rides that don't take 30 minutes to get to from say, Wandermere. It's been a long time since I've done any dirt riding, but I'd like to get some in before winter comes. damn.... 30 minutes from Wandermere? I suppose back roads are boring... you have to go a little further north -- Deer Lake area to get some roads in, but then my kind of riding isn't necessarily everybody elses... there are dirt roads west of Deer Park area that I only touched on... takes you into Suncrest and around that area.... pull out a map and point to a spot -- bon voyage!

Yeah, prolly doing 70-80 miles of singletrack Saturday with XRs4ever.

60-70 miles of Singletrack at Batey Bould/LPO on Sunday.

Mr. Bruce, good to hear from you, thought you fell off the face of the earth. (You know, what with it being flat and all) I fully agree. During the week in the evening is working better for me.

It has been a busy summer. I have had 6 days off in the last 5 months. Looking forward to october 31st.
I have been checking out Gregs thread from the last get together, looks like ya'all had a great time (except for the smoke). We are going to make sure to take some time off next year and go to at least one of them.

So I want my XR640 to run again..

I am currently away at school in Boise, but the bike is back home in CDA.

I am looking to hopefully find a fellow inmate that has experience in all things XR and might be willing to earn some cash to overhaul my motor. I would love to take on the project myself, but the bike is 8 hours away and I dont have the time or resources here at school to do it. I also had some money free up so I just want her to be done and ready to roll when I get back home for Thanksgiving.

As she sits the top end is off and the parts are all sitting out on my workbench.

I am hoping to find someone that would take the motor and split the case and give it the once over and make it all good again. I am hoping to get away for around $1,000 but I know that good things cost money.

If any of you have lots of XR experience or might know where to look then I would appreciate it.. I just want my Motorscooter back up and running.
